I gave it another shot
You'll usually see a lot of activity in the Global Channels as well. I highly recommend joining several.
Welcome to the game and the forums.
so a Brute? what sort of powers? there are many to choose from and if I decide to stick with him to higher lvls I would hate to end up like "one of those guy" . You know the ones that did not choose wisely and should have chosen something better. I know all things work but somethings work alot better. Somethings are broken and some arent. So whats ur opinion with Brutes and power choices early on from lvl 1?
There aren't many really gimped sets left in the game. There may be, however, some sets that are not right FOR YOU.
The classic example of that is probably the Force Field defender. Slow and unimpressive soloing, boring to play... why do I have three at high levels? Because they really only do one thing; make the entire team freakin impossible for enemies to hit*. And usually, that's enough.
*Impossibility not guaranteed.

So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.
Regarding server population. If you are solo or the team leader, click the Find button or simply type: /sea. This will open the search window for finding players.
Once the window is open click the Search button, leaving all fields blank, or default, and this will give you an indication of the players on the server for your faction (hero or villain). It will list the level of the players, where they are, the archetype (class), etc. If their name is greyed out it means they are on a team.
You can then refine your search using the controls available.
G'luck.

Go to Justice and join the global channels - Justice United and JFA2010. There is NEVER a shortage of people to team with no matter what time you're on. I see TF's run as early as 7 in the morning, and I see them started as late as midnight. That server is constantly hopping.
The reason you don't see a lot of people on the streets, is becaused of instanced missions. People just don't have to be outside, so they arent.

as we said 5 million times before... NO the game is not dead, yes there are alot of players online but most are either doing missions in other teams, are in AE, badge hunting, etc etc. Find Member is a great tool to get in contact with players who already have a mission team that can use a hand.
Broadcasting etc etc..
I tried those ones a week or so ago. Neither allowed for posting from me, despite being publically joinable. :/ Rather discouraging and is why I moved the two characters I cared about over to Freedom and deleted the rest... [haven't had that problem on any of the Freedom-related channels I tried out]

Assuming you remembered to add the channel to your chat window/tab (I've made that error)... Did you try sending a tell to one of the channel mods to ask them to unsilence you? Even though JFA2010 is public, I think you still need to have a mod unsilence. I know for certain this is the case for Justice United (which is, IIRC, still a "by invitation" channel).

YUMMY Low-Hanging Fruit for BASE LUV
I have really noticed Freedom being slower than normal as of late. It's Freedom, but no where near what it use to be. Virtue has been rather good and I've been playing there a lot. Victory, well, still waiting for the game to pick back up for that server.

Log in Saturday morning, at 10am Eastern, 8am Mountain, and look for Xalaqia. We'll get some pixel-kicking goodness happening.

I think most global channels are set to default to Silenced mode for new members to stop the RMT spammers who were being a nuisance back in the day.
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.

Victory is Task Force central - although, I guess if you don't have time for TFs, then it might be diffrent

I fully admit I need to do some work and getting better at doing teams and TFs on Victory, but that can be said for any server I play on. It's just with the other servers I can afford to be lazy and still get invites.
Sorry I missed this time. I needed to be a little productive this morning. Generally speaking I can play for a little bit on Sat. mornings, but Sundays tend to be the best. Sunday tends to be my off day and then one other day which is usually Wed.
Thirded about forming your own team. DOOO EEET!
Even a team of 2 or 3 can be a fun experience. Make sure you've got some missions ready to roll, and be the leader. Be firm, be fair, be fun!
Be polite and verbose in your tells. Some people will accept blind invites, but the more info you give them, the more respectfully you address them, the more likely you are to get an acceptance.
