Wow, that is pretty weird....but that's the only reason I can think of. Maybe he tried the game out around the first anniversary and didn't like it, and now he's back to try it again?

If you like the game enough to keep an eye on it for 5 years to see when it's offered for free, just pony up the dough already! haha
My point is this:
The person was seen during the Christmas Event. That means that they had to log in during the event. That means they had to be awarded the badge for logging in during the event.
If they didn't have that badge, then there was a bug of some kind.

I Could have been mistaken about that one login badge, since I was so surprised by thier lack of vet badges and such in light of that 1st anniv. badge.
That could be it. Or it could have been a bug and not awarded for that person. At this point, it's doubtful that we'll never know.

This was during the Xmas event.
A L27-ish Scrapper had the first anniversary badge, no Xmas event badges and zero vet rewards. He was AFK in the Talos Tech store, so I figured that he wouldn't respond to a tell.
Never saw that combo before.
