question about farming

Two bubbles from my first 50 and I'm excited about two things... being able to make a PB or WS and how much easier it is to gain inf (from what I've heard).

My question is about the second... I know most of the money probably comes from drops but running hero stats last night I was getting about 1.2 mil just from mob kills which isn't bad. Is the amount of xp converted directly to inf as a 1:1 ratio? And if so does the difficulty have the same effect on the inf that it would have on the xp?

I wouldn't swear to this (might swear at it) but I believe XP does equal influence. I personally have seen twice the XP as influence lately, but I'm quite sure that's because of Patrol XP. (That is, I get double XP due to the Patrol, but it doesn't increase you Influence) Since I run on various difficulties from +1/2x to +2/1x, I'd say that its the same across all difficulties.

Not sure what you mean but yes difficulty affects inf. The more difficult the mobs the more inf u get. Grats on ya 50 btw

Thanks!

Jade I believe you're right, I was playing with my gf when I dinged and the inf I was getting was roughly equal to her xp + inf (she's only 48 atm).

An aside:
You can make more inf by marketing, but some people consider marketing as boring as I consider farming.

[Eh, farmings not that bad, but when I pl with SG pals it makes me feel I'm cheating my toon.]

I don't consider marketing boring per se... I just don't have the patience or attention span for it whereas farming is just mindless destruction of baddies lol.

I find mindless destruction of baddies ok. But not playing BM for two hours strait.

The only problem I have with marketing is that it doesn't earn me Inf badges.

Farming in the most common ways is boring to me. Spending mowing down enemies that are incapable of hurting me is boring (See: Fire tank on a Behemoth map). My current farm map is a lot of fun because I'm fighting enemies that fight back, and if I don't use my powers and inspirations wisely, I will faceplant. That makes the farm fun, instead of a repetitive grind, for me at least.
