Stealth IO

Heh all,
I used to have a stealth IO on my Scrap and Corr until I found out it's practically useless in PvP. Well at least I had the toughest time trying to convince my opponents that they were not supposed to see me until I'm about to hit them. Even on my Dark Corr with Shadow Fall and SS. So I yanked it.
But recently I've fought a few non stalkers who ran and weave around some buildings to loose line of sight and I lost my target on them.
What is the reason for this? Could it be that they have stealth or the stealth IO and this is the effect?
If so then the Stealth IO may not be absolutely useless in PvP then?
Thanks.

Its actually a game engine thing that makes that happen. There is a way to track people who do that but you will have to practice following the same routes they use. As far as the stealth io thing goes I still think it is worth having slotted, especially for zone pvp were npcs come into play.

Duel me.
I will work on my sig pic more when I have time.

Sounds like your perception is really low, maybe pick up the unique IO and/or tactics.

Won't help in this case. But yes, always try to have at least tactics preferably tactics + perc io.

Figured this question was appropriate in this thread.

I'm running Conceal Stlth/Invis/Phase on my PvP build and I have the stlth proc slotted into Sprint. Is it best to have sprint always on and click invisibility while moving behind objects to try and lose their line of sight? Or am I going about this incorrectly?

Also, does Super Speed offer any stlth in zone and Arena?

Keep sprint up when using stealth when in battle. Once you hit invis it puts you at the cap and invis does not suppress, if you are in full run/evade mode you should always have invis up.

SS offers no extra stealth to players, it is useful at dodging npcs in zones as it also lowers your threat rating to them.

Some stealths do not stack and most at's are at a stealth cap that is over come by tactics. Add in the perception io and they can see you from farther away (and veats can even see stealth capped stalkers. You can monitor your stealth via the combat attributes.

Why? The stealth IO lasts for 2 mins, so to save on endurance, you really only need to click sprint on every 2 mins, and then can turn it back off.

doesn't it supress when attacking?

So that you are stealth capped at all times when necessary, this is assuming people are as tarded as me about toggling crap on and off because I always forget.

So what you're saying is that it's not so much LOS but that I'm just bumping into boxes and walls in the alley and let my target get out of range of my perception? That is quite possible but it does seem like I should have more perception than the range I'm losing these targets.
I have Targeting Drone and the Rectified Reticle unique.
Maybe I should practice running those routes. Or maybe if someone is that prepared for a tactical retreat they should be allowed to live.

How about adding Sprint to your attack binds? This way pretty much everytime you attack, you would toggle sprint which should refresh your stealth timer.
Course I don't know if the toggle action would intefere with your attack timing.

It does, but it unsuppresses after 10 secs just like regular stealth. You don't need to reactivate it each time you attack. I remember testing it with dual accounts about a year ago.
