I'd like to add my name in with the others who'd like to know if anything more is going to be done with the shadow shard. Rularuu has been biding his time for quite a few issues now. Also is anything going to be done with the Devouring Earth? Isn't it about time that Eden and the Hive did a bit of growing and evolving? Would it be possible to make more enemy types within the Devouring Earth such as turret-type plants or shadow cyst like DE that continually spawn the little DE critters until you kill them?
Edited because I forgot... Congratulations on your promotion. Also possibly a very important question is the compensation worth the added complications?

Congratulations. Your selection was a great choice in my view. You always impressed me as a straight shooter with a firm grasp of both "what's right" with CoH as well as "what could be improved".
Please allow me to echo the sentiment of SuperTim, Redlynne, Impish Kat and Golden_Ace here and many others elsewhere. Isn't it time to deliver on the promise to make sg bases more "fun and functional?"

I just thought of another question, this time concerning Powersets.
How do you determine what Powersets get made and which ones don't? What determines the priority of the sets that do get made? (example: Why did MM's get Thugs before Demon Summoning?) And what powersets can we expect to see in the furtue?
I'm just trying to get a little insight into the thought process behind new sets, because it seems like you just throw a bunch of ideas into a hat and pick a few when new powersets are in the plans.
And if all of this is better asked to someone else let me know and I'll throw it them when they're up for Ask A Dev.

You know firsthand how big of a revamp Faultline required. I have no argument with "That takes a lot of work," and many calls for a revamp of the Shard being that much harder. Prior questions about redoing content or adding it to other zones seem to echo those thoughts, specifically, with the idea that "(the dev team) would rather give you something new instead of revamped old."
Again, with the shard, I understand - but how about zones like Dark Astoria, that don't really need "reconstruction" such as Faultline did, and are certainly an order of magnitude smaller than the Shard?
With content being mentioned, could we look forward to - borrowing a description from Intel - a "tick-tock" introduction of content, the Tick being new content (more redside, alternate leveling paths, especially low leve - yes, I know, Praetoria, but some may not want to start there,) with the Tock being a revamped DA, Brickstown (though I see that needing something closer to a Faultline work - perhaps over a few "tocks" to show evolution of the zone.) Would this be feasable?
Also... any way of making the mission computer actually useful for more than one redside SF? More SG-centric content would be fun for teams of various sizes (from solo to 8.)

I take my chances and ask about power customization for APP. I know PPP have new powers nowhere else to be found, but APP? All the powers of any APP are already in the game and since I16 we are able to color them as we like. So what about color our APP?

Now that the Mission Architect interface is in place, we players see how atrociously difficult it used to be to write arcs, but how relatively easy it is now that we have the MA. When we asked for the legacy Task Forces to be updated (and devs and players agree which ones are sorely lacking), the old response was "it would be too much time taken away from writing new content." And we see that was true.... but not any more. With the MA tool, we see how relatively easy it would be to tweak existing TFs to make the long ones shorter and the 'speed TFs' longer (e.g., with Katie Hannon we can add ambushes to the save the hostage or create a custom Katie who doesn't fly in the last mission). Or to change Viridian's arc into a Strike Force to give villains parity. So, with the MA now in place, why can't this be done? Especially with Dr. Aeon being such an expert on arc mechanics? Positron Task Force Update: This Task Force has been split into two halves and dramatically upgraded and updated to ramp up the fun. The final battle of the Task Force takes place in the Faultline Dam and incorporates the new Dark Mirror enemy.I guess my question is answered.
But you're welcome to comment if this is a trend....

However, the one for Chris Bruce (BABs) was never answered, and it took a really long time for the one before that.
I have my doubts on the likelihood of this one getting answered, either. I really don't see why they bother doing this particular thing; it's not like most of the devs don't interact with us regularly anyway, and these get ignored for the longest time while other events are going on.

hi wondering weather this is still open now that some questions have been answered. And a big question to ask (which will probabily annoy some people) Will there ever be an US/EU server list merge???
the EU have seen a decline in there player base for a while, will there be anything in the pipeline to stop more people going onto other MMO's?? (other than issues and the longly awaited Going Rouge!)
AND are there any other up and comming new task forces in the works???
Any chance we could have an option to change the Buff Pets we get from the 48-Month Veteran badge?
Maybe as part of a future Veteran award, we could get a one-time exchange token, or the ability to take a second Buff Pet in the same manner as the extra 12-Month bonus power, something like that?
Granted, beyond a certain level, they are basically cosmetic, but with occasional lag causing the game to read my cursor in one place when it was someplace else on my screen, I got the wrong Drone. And, given that how characters look in CoH is a major part of the game's appeal, cosmetic effects count for a lot.
This is about as minor an issue as minor issues get, but I've already restarted the character once and I don't much feel like going to level 50 a third time.
Anyway, just hoping.

People are generally of 2 minds about bank missions, but the impression I get is that bank missions on the villain side are more fun. Will we ever get something like a Mayhem Mission for the heroes to berserk out on?
Personally, I feel this way myself. Mostly because on the villain side you get to break things. I know that it's not heroic to break things as heroes, but I really wish the heroes could have something that equalled the fun of the Mayhem Bank Missions.
I've always been fond of letting us go after a series of villain bases where the primary purpose of the mission was to destroy equipment. This would make a lot of sence vs Council, 5th Column, Arachnos, Circle of Thorns, and The Family. Unlike the bank Mayhems, these would be underground or in buildings, and the type of stuff you would destroy would be Labs, computers, vehicles, supplies, and such.
If you are looking for a villain side mirror of this, it would be a defend the base mission... I'd do this a lot like the hero side bank mission, you enter an outside area, then hunt up all the heroic teams sent in the destroy the base. I personally would love to do something Mayhem like on the hero side. LOL.
A really large and sprawling base might include everything from submarines to tanks... it would be very much fun, I would think.
one more thing: will we get Issue 17 before Going Rogue is released?
I know GR is a lot of work and will be worth the wait, but I16 went live on 15.Sep., so just asking
