Items that can be used for second floors?

I have successfully made my workroom two floors, using the stacked safes and floor method. Is there anything (besides making floor of safes) that can be used to give the lower floor a ceiling.

I will say making the second floor made a nice cosy 2x2 work room, with a enhancement storage, a vault, a inspiration storage, and 6 tech salvage storage along. With a worktable and tech workbench. Now that its set up, I lost interest in getting the 3x4 room, I'll list get another 2x2, but that is after getting my transporters up on line.

The floor of safes, worked fine, but the I would like something different.

You can make floors from desks. I prefer the white/gray/wood colored ones and stack them next to each other. Personally I don’t like using safes, I prefer the floor lamps.

I tried a couple desks, but the ones I tried were invisible from bottom. guess I should have tried some more.

The items on second floor where pretty much easy with the the floor tiles, I just lined up the safes then removed the floor tiles. Next step is to make the handrails, ran out of Prestige, so held that off for another day.

You actually want the "Counters" from the Desks tab, Bellen.

This.

Yeah, the counters are three feet high. (desk tab, not the cabinets tab)

You can fit up to four floors using counters, but they'll feel a bit cramped at 8-9 feet high each. Three floors give 15 foot or so floor heights which seems better.

I've seen people use the rubble from the Room Details tab for floors, as those are thinner, but I find them hard to use without getting shimmering textures.

I use Small Bookshelves (dark brown variety) from the Shelves tab and also Tech Crates from the Tech tab as "floors" in my base. Both are 4ft tall, which is exactly the height of a unit of stairs.

I prefer to use the counters in the desk tab but I have also seen people use the following
Large Blocks and Small Blocks from the Arcane Tab
Any number of crates from the Tech Tab
Bookshelves

That is all that I can think of off the top of my head. Now keep in mind you will have to float your floor tile up on top of these things to place anything on them but once done you can walk on them.

Aren't those see-through from the bottom?

Neither the Small Bookcases nor the Tech Crates are lacking an underside texture ... hence why I use them.
