Never said it was. Kindly stop putting words into my fingers.

Care to actually read the rest of that post? Or are you happy just selectively reading all the time?

I did read it. Have you read any of the responses to the suugestion not only in this thread but the numerous others (to which even the Devs responded with "No") that have suggested vehicles before or are you "selectively reading"?

This coming from the noob who "selectively" ignores all of the valid reasons why vehicles will not work in the game....

Yes. Yes I have, but for the time being I'm setting that issue aside because, quite frankly "I can fly, I don't need a car, ergo nobody else should be entitled to the the option regardless even if the chances of it being doable is possible or not" is ignorance and selfishness beyond ignorance and selfishness.

And don't get me started on "How do you fit a car into a cave?". Quite why your asking such blatantly obvious questions that are barely worth dignifying with an answer just beggars belief.

Again, not taking one of the existing travel powers in the game is your choice.

The search is your friend. This isn't my question... this is the question the Devs asked when vehicles were suggested before, and why the Dev response was "Not going to happen".

Who said "No one should have a travel power"? Whining about vehicles for no other reason that "I waaaaaaaaaaaan it" isn't selfish? Whining about wanting vehicles even after the Developers themselves have said "No" and provided valid reasons why vehicles won't work isn't ignorant?

It's a valid point, one which the Devs brought up.

You want a car? Go play Grand Theft Auto or something else.

Juiced or Gran Turismo was just thoughts, but GTA works too.

Stop posting your robot porn, Tech,

*de-stresses, grinds stress balls, throws his plush Jigglypuff against the nearest wall repeatedly, and gets a decent dose of caffeine!*

Okay, I'd like to apologise for being a ratty b'stard there. I have no excuse. I'm a *****. I'm sorry. *begbeg*

I'll try and clarify a few things though.

First, I wasn't saying that I -wanted- vehicles in the game. Well, not that badly anyway. Would be nice, but at the same time, it's not the end of the world for me. No biggie there. Really. I'm fine with fudge. Mmm... fudge... >.>

I understand that adding vehicles may never happen, even so, I still personally disagree with a few things. Not necessarily out of the desire to see the impossible happen, but a couple of things didn't quite make sense to me at the time, but I'm more than willing to accept that I'm wrong to fail to see sense in them:

The "How do you fit a car into a cave?" questions, I still don't really agree with, from a logical PoV. I mean, I personally just don't see the need to even consider trying to jump that hurdle. Why would anyone -try- to cram a car into an office (Short of making a dramatic entrance)? Logic would dictate, for example, that one would park, lock up and walk into said office, right? Remember this is me trying to make sense of such questions now, I'm not going to try arguing my point any further. o.O

It was how I'd interpreted the following:
Quote:
If I can fly, why would I go somewhere in my car?
The way I'd read it, I took it as meaning that because the current travel powers were already available, vehicles were pointless because you could easily pick one of those powers, meaning that even if it was possible (again, see above that I realise it isn't), they shouldn't be included ever, which again I disagreed with. Maybe I did interpret it wrong. Most likely I did and if so, I apologise for that as well.

And again, I'm sorry for my attitude earlier.

I would if they weren't all poorly ported, and that includes the Rockstar Classics re-releases.

Shaddup

The point I got, and agree with is thus;

"We have other pwoers, so you should pick one of them."
Well, what if they don't fit with what you want to make? I know we can fudge fairly easily, given this is game-world with rocket boots, anti-grav packs and flying sky skiffs, etc.
But it would be nice to have more Options. What they are? No idea. So...yeah. I think thats what CD was getting at.

Not really. Shapeshifting, wether a simple costume change or something as advanced as Kheldians, is already in game. Making usable 'armour' vehicles doesn't sound unfeasible (he says)

I posted in a thread a while back that had an idea for another Vanguard item. While most people no-no'd the idea, myself included, I did post a suggestion for a 'LVAS', a cut down version of the HVAS, which worked like Granite armour or Kheldian Dwarf forms, in that it morphed the player into that armour and switched their power trays while it was toggled.

Yes, you wouldn't be able to slot it, or the attacks. It'd probably have to be earnable. Balanceable? I should think so.
Just my 2 inf.
well, we are on the same page with the fliers. as for the hvas, actually that would be a lot of fun as well, generate a map full of enemies, replace your powers with specific ones for your mech(maybe even have a longbow cataphract or arachnos ...whatever those big things from recluse's victory are called), and make it a more over-the-top bug hunt with tons of enemies rushing you. You could even keep the large version since it would be a specific map to avoid any collision issues, and being a giant mech would add to the feeling of power your character would have as they gunned down hordes of rikti, banished panthon, zombies or whatever. sounds like a huge amount of fun.

My only thing I have against Vehicles (Besides not being possible with the Current build of the game engine) is that, How Customizable would they be? Reason Vehicles could be cool is the Batman Factor. How much EXTRA work could the already overworked BABs and Sexy Jay devote to Vehicle Customization?

Right. They and their teams are very busy with current stuff for Going Rogue and Fixing Clipping issues with the current stuff. If vehicles were to ever get implemented (doubtful), how much Customization would be acceptable?

Of course, but it's not as if there's a "TOP PRIORITY! DO EET NAO!" tag on this thread, is there?
