What's in that tea, chap? You're acting a bit odd.
If you're wanting to run it, suggest a time, you should get takers. If you run it right, it's a good way to get merits, actually. I do wish it wasn't such a pain to get there, though.

Hmm...this tea did have a unique tang to it but all is well good man. It doesn't seem that painful to get to at all. Just a brisk trot through the adventurous underground. Not sure on the exact time I'll be able to pre-plan one of these delightful occurances but I'll keep you wonderous ladies and gentlemen well informed.
I say old bean, that Abandoned Sewer Trial seems a tad unpopular.

Ran this twice 5 years ago; once to check out the old Kraken XP and once for the badge. Might have attempted it once more between then and 3 years ago, but it wasn't successful. No one ever planned for it much. It has always been pretty challenging in scope and execution.
Fast forward, and I've now done it 3 times in the past 4 - 6 months with completely different team make ups. 2 out of 3 were well executed and pretty damn smooth. 1 was hit or miss and I think we got out of there with about 3 minutes left on the timer.....it's safe to assume that this one was a pug that I was not "running".
I'll assume you haven't done this before. For a first run, bring a good amount of defense buff and a tank-able bait that can handle Psy. Limit knockback as much as possible. Take your time and make sure the team sticks together. After you get the ins and out, you don't need to game the system and can run it with just about anything.
Oh, and for the old timers: The tentacles don't seem to move at all now, much less run back up the catwalks only to show up X minutes later while you're busy with Rikti hordes and psionic tornadoes. The thermite guns are of unknown usefulness with the tentacles because I haven't bothered to waste time on getting them after being utterly disappointed with them 5+ years ago.
I've already forgotten about most of you
If you do it, I'm interrested unless it's during work hours or Tuesday or Wednesday
I would be interested in doing the sewer trial as well. Work hours Monday and Friday though won't work for me, but otherwise I should be free.

While I lack Recall Friend or Vet TP, my Scrapper has mapped the way from Atlas to the Trial door.
Or...not as late tonight. Show of hands to those who would prefer it tonight around 10PM or Sunday around 1PM EST.
How do you tell the boxes for the two guns apart anyways? |
The boxes *may* look different, but I honestly cannot recall.

All things considered, that felt like it deserved to be a "SG only" TF in the concept of it being a Task Force that really rewarded you for playing as an actual team. I'm wondering if the Thermite is actually useful on the Hydra head because it took damage surprisingly fast the second run. Wouldn't be the first time in-game text was wrong about something. All in all, a very satisfying challenge to complete.
Now to complete it on multiple characters :P
Regarding the Thermites, as I said, the text for it *seemed* to be different from what I recall from long long long ago....but who knows.
You'd have to check the combat logs for activation/damage given when used on the tentacles and the hydra head itself to see if anything other than damage is going on.
Using just the particle guns, it usually takes 3 rounds if all 4 are used as much as they can. Can usually get 2 shots off per gun if everyone is on the ball; 3 shots if there is speed boost/lots of recharge going around.
Was burningbear on your team by chance?
I've already forgotten about most of you
He was on one of the teams but I forget the toon name so I'm not sure if he was on both (lost a few members between the two runs).
Hopefully I'll be on for awhile when you run one of these again, it's a fun challenge. I also have a former Lost/Rikti Blaster that is always itching to take on the Rikti, heh.
