  1. My vote is for option 1...so long as certain textures could still flow into one another to mix and match. For example how the tights option can somewhat flow into the baggy pants texture to make it look like 1 combined article of clothing.

Also an interesting idea in terms of removing clutter with how people want both shiny and non-shiny versions of pieces would be to just add a bubble next to the listed item section that would just let you decide if you want the piece shiny or not.

    So instead of

    Legs
    -Tights
    -Shiny Tights

    It would look more like

Legs (x)Legacy? <So only legacy options would show up in the drop-down list>
    -Tights (x)Shiny

...This can also maybe be done for making Legacy options as well.

But of course this is a UI change and will need a little more work but might help out more in the long run. As for the graphic just use the same bubble we use to "Copy colors across costume/powerset" or even some bubbles we get in the mission architect.

    Just a thought.
  2. I really sorry, but an emergency has come up and I don't think I'll be making it to the TF tonight.

Just as well though, last thing you guys needed was Void Crystals popping up in the TF caused by my being a PB lol
  3. Well I would like to join with my PB, but I know you have plenty of melee. I do have 'some' ranged damage but not near that of a blaster or defender.

But if you don't manage to get any debuff/ranged I could help fill the spot if you'd want me.

    PvP badges

Well then it's clear at that point that they're just killing the badger just to annoy them, since they're most likely not fighting back and/or running.

That said, it still is a PvP zone and all is fair game. A player can be nice and leave you alone to badge but they do NOT have to. It's just the same when people have their little 1v1 duels under the Recluse's Victory atlas statue. It's still perfectly fair if some lame stalker sneaks up and kills one of them.

It's all things based upon friendly agreement between the players. The PvPer who keeps killing you isn't breaking any rule...he's just being a jerk about it.

And this is coming from an all-human PB who is far from a PvPer. I dealt with more than my share of these types. Unfortunately you just have to kind of work around them.
  5. I'll join up for this.

    Level 50 Peacebringer.
  6. The anniversary badges are the only badges I have an issue with since they are badges awarded to the character based solely on the action of the PLAYER logging in and are otherwise no longer obtainable.

I understand the logic behind them, but I believe the dev's would have made these badges global if they had the hindsight they do now seeing as how Positron's gone on record saying they weren't aware of how great the appeal of collecting badges was. They seen them as a sort of a "oh cool I just happened to get X badge" mentality.

I somewhat understand the idea that some people have that "my toon wasn't around for the badge so I don't want him to have it," so I think the badges should have a kind of button like the Vet badges do.

You can pick and choose which characters get the badge by logging them in individually, but the badges have a button that rewards the badge (or maybe even a pseudo anniversary badge so people can tell the difference) to the rest of the characters on the account.

This method would let accounts that want the badges toon specific to keep it that way, it would make it easier for those who have to log in 10+ characters, and the dev's wouldn't have to write up an algorithm to auto-detect accounts who have the badge on one character to reward the rest.

blaming an object for the actions of a person is nonsensical. for example, charging a gun with murder and letting the one who pulled the trigger go free. objects may give people avenues to behave a certain way, but it's still the choice of the person, not the object, that defines which avenue is traveled.
That logic is slightly flawed. With that same reasoning no exploits would get fixed because "the exploit doesn't diminish the QoL of most of the players, it is merely the exploiter's fault for doing it."

Or to directly relate to your analogy, yes guns would need to be controlled more if people were going out and shooting everyone every day. There's a reason why fully automatic guns aren't allowed. There's just a point to where doing something about what facilitates the problem is better than dealing with the ones who actually cause it.

I'm not saying whether or not the "Master of" badges are actually causing this much trouble. ( I do think that maybe the qualifications could be altered some way so that it's less irksome as a whole. ) Just pointing out that that point of view shouldn't be the way we approach this issue.
  8. Okay so those qualifications are also tagged onto the contest itself?

Gonna be hard for me to remember what all is standard and what I threw my money into since its been so long lol
  9. Actually, if you ask me, lower populated servers are usually much more friendly than the broader ones.

I don't mean that like the large server's are mean, but if you don't have a set group of friends, people can be very impersonal. Like you're just another of the 1000's.

Whereas a smaller community that is structured, it has an "everyone-knows-everyone" mentality. So being rude or hateful isn't something you'll be able to get away with easily.

I'd imagine most of the strife happens on the medium level servers. Where finding a team is just hard enough, and being rude is just anonymous enough.

I mean lets face it. While CoH may have the best MMO community I've ever seen as a whole, it is still an MMO and 'those' kinds of people are still going to show their ugly faces.
  10. Question: The costume contest art comission, does that only apply on the character the contest was won with, or can it be with any of the winner's characters? (Basically, does it have to be the lvl 1-5 character)

Also, if nothing springs up on me, I'll be there.
  11. Sounds good, I'll be there.
  12. I don't have Going Rogue prepurchased so I cannot make a demon mastermind yet to join the Virgil SF, but is it possible for me to sign up for the MoLGTF?

I have a lvl 50 Peacebringer to bring for the TF if that's okay
  13. I've been excluded from joining countless "Master of" runs just on the basis that my badger is a Peacebringer, despite the fact that I typically never die when I'm not even playing seriously.

I have over 750 badges and the only "Master of" badge that I have is the ITF one because I am either outright excluded or when I am allowed in a run, somebody gets careless and dies.

(Which by the way it has never been me who died. I'm bringing this up to say that there was really nothing I could personally do to prevent those people from dying, not that I'm self-righteous or something.

Even reminding people to be careful and suggesting grouping locations to fight ambushes will get me called bossy.)

  15. I'll join you, but what time are you wanting to start it?

(I'll be bringing my lvl 50 Peacebringer)

While I would prefer this, I think we should take baby steps to keep Castle from being too skittish about this change. lol
  17. Peacebringers have so much knock-back in their other powers that changing Solar Flare to knock-down shouldn't really hurt anybody's playstyles.

I fully agree that the power should be knock-down, and I haven't personally seen anybody who really opposes this change. I'm hoping its something that's just been overlooked by the devs and not something they see as "good-as-is".

While its current state may have some uses, it is very hard to argue that changing it to knock-down wouldn't give it way more usability than its situational condition is it now.
  18. And despite what one may argue about color changing, I still think they could have thrown us a bone and allowed SOME animation choices like the solar flare stomp to the ground punch.
  19. Well, going by the badge text, the anniversary badges are more for the actual participation in the 'celebration' of CoH's anniversary rather than just how long your account has been active.

Basically, the badge is "were you there or not". The debate is that if it should be based on if "you the character" were there, or "you the player" were there.
  20. Yes, very solid ship raid overall. The fact alone that it was constant killing and no major team wipes is proof positive that it went great.

Not to mention I actually got my GM kill point this time. lol
  21. I personally think there should have been some sort of accolade connected to certain Ouroboros badges (If not all of them). Though I have no idea what the power/buff would be if there was one.

Maybe... more zones to exit to when leaving Ouroboros? (Though I'm not fully for that idea since it promotes abusing time travel to replace Paragon's public transit system.)
  22. Well, I'll be there. Hopefully I'll get my point for the GM kill this time. lol
  23. I would be perfectly fine with just changing the KB in Solar Flare to Knockdown. Everything about the knockback is counterproductive and I'm sure 99% of the community wouldn't have an issue with changing the KB in that power. (Also if/when power customization comes to the Kheldian, being able to punch the ground instead of stomp like in Super Strength would be over 9000 times better.)

Radiant Strike, however, doesn't HAVE to be changed. I find some use with it by knocking a straggling single enemy BACK into the group. Plus it's always fun to use it to knock and enemy off a high ledge and pull a Fatality. :P

Most other powers in the PB arsenal are mitigatable I would think. I don't use Luminous Detonation (Mostly because of the KB...) so I can't really judge on that power.
  24. I would consider most ( if not all ) the Oroboros badges solo, because good luck trying to get a team to do about 30-40 mission arc runs lol.
