Elec/Elec Human Battery Build

I've become obsessed with all things electrical in the game. I rolled an Elec/Elec Blaster first and fell in love and followed up with a Elec/Elec Brute and Stalker. When the ported Elec over for Tanks in i16 I dove right in and came up with this build. It wasn't THAT expensive and doesn't involve any purples at all. I'd say that 95% of the build was paid for by this toon's earnings and merits (without donations from my other toons, in other words). I haven't seen (m)any other builds that focus on Regen and Recovery so I figured I'd post it in case anyone was looking for a starting point. One of my friends rolled an Elec/Elec Tank using this build as a starting point and both toons are an absolute blast to play and nearly unstoppable. Let me know what you think.

Any idea why my BB Code is showing up instead of just formatting it in the right color? I've exported builds before, but never had a problem until just now.

With the new boards the format has changed... use the phpBB/Zetaboards formatting in Mids, and the Fruit Salad color scheme seems the most readable on both hero & villain boards.

You can go back and edit your OP with the re-exported build... I'd advise also including the data chunk since the data link has been a bit problematic lately.

This may be wrong, but couldn't you get significantly more regen by building for recharge? you already have many recharge sets, broken right before the recharge, this would mean far more usage of energize... which adding both the frequency of the self-heal and the actual 30 seconds of high regeneration should be far higher effective regeneration.

Also, it's higher recovery via more energize end discount, and more use of power sink. All while improving your attacks further.

Though I can get onboard with the idea of a speciality build, this one seems like it could have gone a different direction.

I had briefly considered doing a +Recharge build but decided against it for a few reasons:

1) It's hard for me to rationalize a recharge build that doesn't include purples and I didn't have the inf or inclination to do another purple build.

2) While more recharge would mean Energize would be up more, I feel it would also give the character a more binary nature. With this build I feel like I'm awesome all the time instead of average when Energize is down and awesome when it's on.

3) One of my secondary goals was to increase HP which is easy to do since most HP bonuses are early in sets. Between set bonuses and accolades I'm at about +850 HP which helps with regen also. Building for recharge wouldve hurt that since most recharge bonuses come so late.

That's my two cents at least. I am curious how the regen of a recharge build would compare to that of regen build. Can anyone more skilled with math than I crunch the numbers?

Nice build chromium man, after seeing it im now thinking of leaving my ice/ice tank (lvl3) and making 1 of these instead! . looks like it has good surviability, does it play well?. good effort

It plays great! My friend and I both rolled Elec/Elec tanks at the same time and when we got close to 50 I shared my idea of a Regen-centric build with him. He built his the same way but tweaked it a little bit. Another mutual friend of ours saw us in action one time and rolled his own Elec/Elec tank that same day because he was so impressed. It's probably my most well balanced and capable toon and I really love to play it too.

Hey CM,

The only thing I can see that might be worth tweaking is Power Sink's slotting. Maybe swap 3 of them out for more Performance Shifters to get more recharge for the power. You'd lose the regen bonus, but gain another +HP bonus.

I know I've teamed with this guy several times, and he seems pretty stout, so I'd fathom that your build seems to work pretty well.

You want your Numina++ in Physical Perfection, not Health. It'd give you more regen and more recovery.

Excessively slotting Grounded is silly. It's usually best for Steadfast Protection Res/Def and/or KB prot.

I think you'd be happier going for +HP with titanium or S/L defense with Reactive. You're a 'human battery' and endurance is a thing of the past! I would definitely stack some more HP and regen by slotting health up and maybe regenerative tissue for physical perfection.

The key is using powersink offensively, and knowing how low your blue bar can go before firing powersink will crash your toggles.

Trust me. I've played 150 levels of electric brutes to know this - an AT that thrives on never stopping for anything.
