Life's a glitch, and then you lol.
yeah that effect is kinda annoying :P i hope that they work it out in "ultra mode" I would have thought things like that were behind us when they had those ATI ruby events but i guess not.
I'll give you the "best use of a graphical bug award"
Roxy On DA...Finally!
Last night I was treated to Ouro with limited edition Disco Floor-Sky
That last one is actually kinda cool Viv, the rest... hey wasn't their mention in a thread somewhere about pooling money together to buy computers and upgrades for those that need it? Time to upgrade girl.
@Zortel and the fox rox: As I understand it they have the fix (for the ATI bug) ready to go but may not implement it until it can be incorporated into a big patch or GR its self.
I just got this stinkin laptop last year!! It's ATI and AMD though, so that's why it's continuously ****** over.

Also you should be aware that ATI and AMD (the companies are merged) currently have the best and fastest video processors out... the only thing competing with ATI's fastest video cards right now are... ATI's 2nd fastest video cards. Also there are plenty of Nvidia setups out there that choke on the game too and all the companies have products that can play the game just fine at reasonable framerates... having one namebrand over another doesn't guarantee you a good gaming experience, it's more about the specs than the brand.
Granted this has little bearing on a laptop as most of them do not have a dedicated graphics "card" but the point I'm making is don't think less of your machine because of the brand name, look at the specs.
I'm pretty much parts agnostic (I will build with any brand that has a good track record, will do the job required of it and fits the budget I'm building for) and not a Fanboi for either side but as Red pointed out GR (unless the devs pull a last minute reversal) will solve the ATI bugs relating to water and anti-aliasing.

@Zortel... that OP image is so true, makes it even more funny.
Got it in 2008.
AMD Turion X2 Duel-Core Mobile RM-72 2.10 GHz
ATI Radeon 3100
(If I'm remembering this correctly,) the sneak peek we got at HeroCon, where we got to see Dual-Wield Pistols, was running on an AMD/ATI machine.
I might have to wade through the GR thread, or maybe PM TJ, he was sitting next to the tech operating the box and specifically asked him the specs.
As for my vid issues, it's a brand new desktop with an ATI card, and a brand new 21" widescreen LCD. I think it's the Catalyst I have installed that's causing the issues. (Things like this will usually occur when I either bring Firefox to the foreground, or when Avira throws up it's nag screen. It's usually not as bad as what I posted above though.
I will be there next year!
Me too!
If it hadn't taken me a month to find the forums, I could have attended the D&B Meet 'n Greet back in 07.
Anyone have any cool, funny or just downright bizarre images from When Graphics Cards Go Wrong? I just remembered this one after getting my ATI 5770, when someone mentioned water effects. This was from my old x1650, after I was chatting to a friend's character before roleplaying at Galaxy Girl statue.
