I lost the fight with the wife and took her to a cat show up in Madison WI over the weekend. Left from Kansas. Never, once, got above 0 from the time we left to the time we got back. My feet still haven't thawed out.

It's freezing here too. 9:30 and the temperature is only now edging toward 70. Luckily it will warm up in the afternoon to the mid 70's, but dip down to the 50's. People were just not designed to live in such cold weather.

70 is cold? psh. It's now just warmed up to freezing here. I'm so not looking forward to having to go out at 7:00 tommrow morning when it's probably going to be about 20 degrees.

My bad news from yesterday was sorted out and now it's not bad news.

I'll put it like this: Before, I would not be able to go to school because I would not be able to pay my entire fee. (My loan money was automatically deposited)
Now, I can go because my fees are all paid up and the mistake they made was fixed.

In the darkness, a thump is heard, followed by slow, repeated scraping sounds. From out of the corner, a large block of ice gradually appears, moving into view. Dimly seen inside the block of ice is a felinish form, with just the tail sticking out. Working like an inchworm, the tail pushes the catcicle over towards the fire, then turns the gas knob up full blast. As the ice slowly melts, Neko appears.
Go ahead and get yourself some cold cereal, cold fruit and cold coffee. Or you can get something warm, if you can chip it out of the iceberg that settled in the kitchen.
