Soundtracks for SG's while doing mishes :
... really. this isn't a bad idea.
There's just one giant problem standing in the way.
It's known as the RIAA. Paragon Studios would have their collective rear-ends sued off within minutes of a such a patch going live.

Running a program out-of-game, like WinAmp or something, does this just as well, without the hassles.

As cool as it would be to allow your own music to play in-game, to make the same song play on another's system would be a major time and bandwidth-waster as it's quite obvious that not EVERYONE will enjoy having to wait to play a mission because their machine (which may be running a slow connection) is downloading a song that might even be of a genre of music they absolutely loathe and want to mute that **** as quickly as the Options window can appear.
Though the idea of playing your own music in-game is intriguing. If Dynamic music were ever implemented (A song that grows more intense during a fight, quietens in proximity and silent when safe). it would be pretty cool to fight under some theme music or battle music, even if you were the only one to hear it.

Since my SG leader is a friend I've had in RL since '93, I can safely say that his music is awful and I would not want to have to listen to it ingame.
The concept is interesting, though.
Could lead to SG's themed by the musical taste of the leaders, as they act as the "DJ's" of the group while playing.
Dynamic music for in-game first, please. Running your own music is easy enough already.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Create a directory in the game directory that SG leaders can copy mp3's to. They load their folder inside the game folder structure with a particular number of mp3's and have an in-game option for sg-members to use their SG soundtrack while playing in SG. Then they restart the game and it pre-loads the specified mp3's into their own folder, or they could get said mp3's from the leader via ftp or something and place them in their game-specific folder.
At any rate, this would allow SG members to listen to a soundtrack designed by their SG leader... or even play their OWN soundtrack of a specified number of mp3's while in game.
So loading the game takes a tad longer, but we all load the game and go do something normally then come back... hehehe... no biggie.
Sure, we already have winamp playing or listen to the radio, my specific point to make is that an SG can have their OWN theme music as picked out by their SG leader or leaders.
A talented musician could even compose their own music and record that to mp3 and score the game fantastically while being played!
It would make the SG experience even more personal.
