Hover/Teleport as travel power.

I have a Level 25, Fire/Fire Scrapper, Smoken Ashes, that I chose to go with a Teleport as Travel skill and Hover is more for show (character never walks) and I like taking my time while moving about. I use Teleport Foe as my sole range attack (and dropping mobs off buildings) If I had vet reward I would drop this in an instant.

Currently I have fight speed in hover and Swift (from fitness) and I can usually chase down running foes in hover. While I would like it to be faster and I can get where I want instantly with Teleport (within 100 yards). Teleport is slotted with a Endurance Reduction.

My question is how should I improve this?
Should I add slots to any power, currently all are at one (or to swift). While Adding range to Teleport would be nice, I don't see to much problem jumping only 100 yards a hop, and it makes it easy to calculate how many hops I will need.

Or should I just leave it and focus on my primary and secondary powers?

(btw: Endurance is three slotted with SO Endurance Modifiers, and is my only addition slot on auxilary power pool)

I wouldn't worry about slotting them untill later. At level 25, you likely have a better power to slot. However, if you hover all the time, might want to put an additional slot in it for more speed.

Some of it really comes down to your build.

Do you have to improve it? No. 100 yds in an eyeblink is a nice speed. Endurance redux will do you better long-term.

Do you WANT to improve it? Eventually, yes. Places like the Shard are just hella ridiculous to TP around at 100 yds a hop. I 3-slotted mine and TP around 164 yds a hop. Coupled with one Endurance IO, and I've got an awesome ability to TP pretty much anywhere on a combat field, PVP or PVE, and have a good amount of "runaway" speed when being chased. Coupled with Hover for endurance recovery while I hover in mid-air, and all told it's a great thing.

Er...

Have they fixed that? Since otherwise, if you're attacked/attack someone in PVP, you're suppressed. For everyone else, it means "you're slower," for teleport it means "No travel power for you."

i think he means pursuit in PvE. In PvP teleport is still effectively worthless since there's currently no way to suppress teleport's range without suppressing the range on all powers, so it's simply disabled whenever you attack or get attacked.

Also, i have a few characters who use the Teleport and Hover combo. Hover's endurance consumption is trivial, and not worth slotting for in my opinion, but since i tend to use Hover in combat i generally three-slot it for flight speed in addition to any other procs i fit into it.
My typical slotting in Teleport is 1 range and 1 endurance.

Clarification: Hover is nearly useless in PvP as an escape power, but it is an excellent alpha strike power.

Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...

No, still working that way. But usually, when I TP into a hot zone, things die. At least they used to... it's been a few months... rusty... *urk*

Having that extra 60 yds in combat is still VERY handy however. Yes, Suppression kicks in, but it also kicks out. The trick is knowing how to work around that, I suppose.

I have a couple always-flying characters. 3 Fly enhancements in Hover and 1 Fly enhancement in Swift puts me up at a nice pace. Not quite as fast as Sprint, but faster than Swift with 1 Run enhancement. And faster than the majority of enemies in the game
