Itf.
The ITF is, of course, co-op, and can be run in any combination of heroes/villains that can access Cimerora.
Why would someone limit their TF members to only villains or heroes? Beats me -- maybe an SG/VG event, or an RP thing? Also, it occurs to me that the people asking to join may have been inexperienced or new, and not understood the nature of a co-op TF/SF.
I think the reasons would only be known to the organizers, but the bottom line is that the ITF is co-op and no in-game restriction I'm aware of would ever force it to be run in single-faction form.

Only other thing I can think of is wanting to keep open the ability to hit the markets/sg bases.

Ok. I thought it was but when i asked them, they said not that they knew of. So, maybe he/they were inexperienced.
As far as the insp. go, i think if we're allowed to team together we should be allowed to help each other. But then the influence and all that gets involved i guess. O well. Thanks for the info guys.

Yes. You want to keep steamrolling as fast as possible, and if that person can't self rez, be rezzed, or be given a wakie, he is dead meat on the team. This is common for faction-restricted speedy ITFs. (Though it's not at all common, overall.)

If you have a PuG of unknown player skill breakdown, or a known flock of newbies, sure, I guess I could see someone trying to keep it simple this way. But then such a team isn't what I'd look for to steamroll things, either.

I like the "desire to leave the zone" reason the best. It's certainly not going to be a speed run if people are leaving the zone, but if you want to store drops or pick up inspirations that seems like a good reason.

That seems incredibly odd to me. I attend speedy ITFs constantly, usually at least one a day, and losing 1-2 people is rarely anything more than the merest of speed bumps to the team. We've barreled through all but the fight with Nictus Romulus with as many as half the team dead sometimes. Given that I don't even expect that many teams run and gun as hard as we do, restricting the team composition so, of all things, someone can hand off a res inspiration really doesn't sound like a very reasonable speed optimization tactic to me.

But this week I was on an ITF and when we were fighting Romulus and his Nictus buddies, some of the squishies died and did not immediately go to the hospital. I just kept fighting, but our tanker ordered them to hit the hospital and get up as fast as possible, and then when the fight was over (we lost and had to regroup) he quit the team, leaving us tankless, apparently because he felt that players who did not quickly rez and rejoin the fight were "leechers."
I'm no fan of leechers myself, but I thought these guys were mostly just overwhelmed by all the action. Those of us left in the TF got ourselves sorted out, went back, and finished the task force with no deaths at all, so I guess I'll never know if they would have been slow to revive a second time.
Someone with the mindset to quit a TF on the final fight because teammates are not rezzing quickly enough might want an all-one-faction team.

Could just be a "ITF forming, being run a redsider, so if you're a bluesider, get your butt to Cim for an invite"?

I seen people advertising a blue or red ITF in a channel i use. Now, i don't know if it's my imagination but i could have swore i've ran an ITF in the past with some red side toons.
If we CAN run coop, why would peeps ask to join a blue or red ITF?
