I take back most of the disparaging remarks I ever made about playing with the in-game market. It's fun, and along with earning day-job badges, makes me feel like I am still playing the game in the background when I can't actually play for reals.

That is, on villain side anyway. Whoever is dumping uncommon salvage by the bucketloads on blue side and driving down the price, just stop! lol

So what you're saying is, now that you're one of the low-down, dirty, jerk-hacking, duping, cattle-rustling, varmint, ebil marketeers, you have a different opinion of them?

When playing a videogame, my rule is to never do something that isn't fun. There's more than plenty of opportunity for that in real life!

Actually it was more like, I've been playing this game nearly since launch. I'd like to at least once reach the two billion inf cap!

I just want to make the observation that while people who hate the market have occasionally changed their mind and decided that the market is fun (or at least useful), I don't remember anyone ever going the other way and suddenly decide that the market is evil and immoral after having enjoyed playing it.

Well i find having certain IO sets makes playing certain characters more fun, so even in video games you often do unfun things to further your eventual fun. :P

I flip numinas. It isn't fun, I never use them, just flip them for cash. Since I don't build billion-Inf characters, i never need these particular high demand recipes. It tastes bad but I do it for the Inf so i can buy Thunderstrikes and Crushing Impacts for my doezens of alts

That's because being Ebil corrupts your soul. You can't turn away from the darkness that is marketeering.

Considering that I'm planning to outfit my WP/DB tank almost entirely in purple and PvP IO sets (she already has the Numina and Miracle sets), I'd better danged well be having fun with playing the market, or I'd be in for a hell of a time!
