This is my proposed pve build (power levels not finalized, but the sets are close I think). Team and solo. Maybe even arena pvp. Do I need hasten or just more recharge. I know I need more end control, but I can't seem to get it down w/o giving up the def. Really need some help with this. Thanks in advance.

At first glance, you need more recharge in freezing rain. It's top of the line for storm debuff/control. It pains me to see hurricane taken later than level 22. I think it's a mistake to not take O2. It is a weaker heal, but it has sleep protection, stun protection, and endurance drain protection in it; it's more like increase density, thaw, or clear mind.

I agree there. If the group needs a healer then they can invite a thermals or a pain dom instead.

YOu have enough mitigation to not warrant a self heal.

Hurricane snow storm, freezing rain Rain of Fire lightning storm

No self heal needed

Sorry but I disagree here, some missions due to the geometry of the map make using hurricane kind of difficult. Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

I took out the defdeb/end and put in the defdeb/rchg which dropped the rchg by a few seconds as opposed to 1.8 end used. About four seconds off of perma. Hurricane taken at 24 instead off 22, well I just didn't think that it would matter much taking it at 24 and it didn't. Already had 3 (4 if you count corners and LOS, 5 if you count SM+stealth sprint) extremely useful mitigation powers so I thought that picking up aim at that point was as good as time as any.

I would like to take o2 as I am a big fan of it for the reasons you stated, but then I wouldn't have been able to get heal self. As a fire/storm I don't think it wise to take 2 heals (not that I think you were implying that, just me thinking this out b4 I chose) as there are more important things to do than the job of a Therm or PD or Kin. Lack of room for it is what it really comes down too.

I think all the powers I've taken are either very much needed or favourites of mine i.e. tornado. I don't really use it unless I'm soloing and just wanna cut loose with the chaos. It's a fav and I don't really see myself as a stormie ever not taking it in a pve build. Thanks again for your response and help.

I tend to allow my health to drop a lil too far sometimes cuz I'm busy laying down the shredding choas and heal self saves the day. I am more like a scrapper in my play style as I tend to get in the thick of things closer than I should. Not to mention the alpha strike that happens when I first hit a group with SS (only if I forget to use a corner or the LOS tactic). Maybe once I get all the pieces and my s/l/range def gets to where my build proposes I won't need it as much or at all. But for the moment, I can't see myself w/o it.

Another power which I really like. It is a power that is perfectly in line with my playstyle but I just don't see any room in the build for it. The only power I can think of taking out would be tornado, but that's on the "fav don't touch or remove list" of mine. On top of that, I lose the soft capped ranged def from the thunderstrike set.

You can also slot the chance for heal proc in ur ST attacks and may not need the self heals. Especially if you 2 slot it for the 10% regen.

I thought about going the regen route, but if I did that, then I would not have the soft capped ranged def. Thanks for the response though.
