A simple way to make the Cavern Trial tolerable.
I admit I haven't run the Cavern of Transcendence Trial very much (or recently), but the only real hard part I've ever had is with reaching the room, not clicking the glowies and killing the monster. IME the one thing that makes the Trial quick and easy is to have someone on the team with either invisibility + recall (or Summon Teammates, Assemble the Team, etc.) or Personal Force Field + recall.
Unless your team is just incapable of dealing with Igneous, or someone drops off the team before the 8-person simul-click, the final room is very easy.

The problems I have is the no map feature in the final room and the need for 8 people to click them. It would help if tp was not necessary to do this arc.
Another problem is that it is hard to find people who are able to do this tf. I have yet to do this one on my main badger!
I've got to add in another "The hardest thing about it is needing eight people all the way through." Dropping it to four or six would be perfectly fine, IMHO.
Or at least make it so that the co-ordinated 8 man click happened right off the bat, getting it out of the way quickly in case someone drops out.
And yeah, considering I've never tackled the Transendence trial or know anyone who has, making it tolerable sounds like a Good Idea (tm)

The thing is a piece of cake. The only reason it isn't ran more is the people who only do anything in this game for the grub......i.e. merits.
If it were suddenly worth a lot, people would run it more than the ITF.

The fact that Recall Friend + some form of Invis or Invincibility is fairly critical to beating it in most cases is poor design.
I wouldn't be opposed to dropping the required number of clicks, but in my experience the biggest obstacle for the average team is the numerous boss-filled mobs of Igneous that never go away. It means that it's generally quite difficult to get everyone to a glowie and then back out again without any deaths.

Er? I'm not talking about the final room with Koago, I'm talking about the main chamber with the respawning Igneous. Nowhere else in the game does a mission respawn enemies, and a 10-15 Trial shouldn't be the place for it.

The only reason I ever recommend stealthing to the door is because in order to reach the door, you have to run through the Tunnels of the Trolls, full of tight spaces and higher-level-than-you hard-hitting Troll enemies. And those respawn because it's a hazard zone, not a mission.
I've never had respawning Igneous be an issue on this Trial; the Troll are always the hard part, in my experience.

While I've beaten the Cavern of Transendance Trial without a stealther or TPer, I admit it is one of the hardest trials/tfs in the game.
But also one of my favorites. I used to run people through the Trial every day (before merits), just because I find it fun. I still do, but now I tend to skip the Hollows as the Hollows doesn't entertain me as much anymore, but I still love the trial (so I've picked it up in Oro).
But this seems to be another problem with the Trial (much like the Hess TF...another great TF)...not many people unlock it (not to mention even if I have beaten without the Stealth/TP...it's much easier, and makes for a happier team, to have it).
I'd say set it up for 5 glowies...redesign the map to look like a pentagram...and keep the enemies as is.
I've found with the right 3 people they can handle all the mobs in there without stealth/invis...it's when it gets down to 1-2 it becomes substantially harder to get the last person safely to a new spot (if no invis/tp are there).

I suppose I'm glad that folks agree that the Trial needs work, though apparently not so much on exactly how.

Does it still kill the WHOLE team when they enter the caves beneath?
I remember the leader checking that everyone had wakies and a rez and stuff. I was puzzled, until the entire team died as soon as we stepped through.
The general consensus was; lol
We finished it, either way. But I do feel the Cavern TF is really badly done.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

A quick and easy one that keeps it challenging without being stupid.
Basically, get rid of the respawning Igneous, allowing teams to clear the Cavern without trouble. But once they click all 8 obelisks, simply respawn all the enemies once.
This makes it more similar to the Sewer Trial, and much less frustrating.
