There are s many presents scattered everywhere. There are so many possibilities. There isn't any one perfect path, and even though presents have certain spawn locations, they aren't always there when you go by again.
Best thing to do is move around and go toward anything flashing, and if you happen to go around in a big circle without many other players around.. then more gifts for you! lol

I did some testing on the presents last year and put down the info in the Mysterious Gift page, though this info may have changed. You'll want to figure out a route that will take you about 4-5 minutes to traverse, preferably away from any player traffic.
Also, something I noticed today was that Siren's Call has a very high concentration of Mysterious Gifts, so if you're on a server with a low PvP population, you might want to check it out.

The downside of doing it in a PvP zone is the hordelings will spawn at the bottom end of the range and thus be (very) gray. Since they have a chance to drop canes this year, it actually pays off to go to a place where they're worth xps.

You might be better off hunting with a level 45 or 48 toon if you want to get green or better conning Winter Horde for their Candy Cane salvage drops (and, they drop Arcane salvage, too!). Or use a lower level alt that's a good level for another zone.

I have a loop like this in Sharkhead. No, I'm not telling you where it is. It's a pattern with about 8 presents that takes just long enough to do that everything respawns by the time I get back to my start point. Earlier today I was just going about in circles for an hour or two building up candy cane supplies.

Ah, but this one has the advantage of being out of the way. Over the last couple of years, I have rarely seen anyone else hunting there. Still, point taken...maybe I'll expand to 9 presents.

the funny thing is that I am currently running flash back missions but in the 46 - 50 range, so still at my 50 lvl. when the event comes back live, will run at 45.

I used Requin last year for my route to get the badge on my MM, along with a few spots on the mainland. IIRC, I combined it with smacking around Hellfrosts for that badge, too.

I heard someone commenting on how they had routes on their maps for winter presents.
I've checked vidiotmaps.com and cant find it there. Could someone tell me where to find it?(BTW I've downloaded the latest vidiot map pack if that effects anything.)
