Seeketh the Legions of Abomination
Talenar grinned to herself as the group started to fade from view, "Great, makes being stealthy so much easier"
She slipped her hands back to her weapons harness, fitting her blades to her wrists, "So, we all up for the beat up a local monst till it tells us if it's seen anything?"
Hellhog cracked his knuckles and watched the footsteps quickly forming ahead of himself.
"Personally," he muttered to nobody in particular, "mowing the bugger down the bike would have been preferable."
For a few seconds the biker actually thought about that before eventually shrugging the idea off in favour of following his currently unseen allies. There was a time and a place for ascertaining the possibilities and merits of pancaking clouds with wings and grinding them into the dirt with the back wheel, but this wasn't one of them.
Sam: "My mind is a swirling miasma of scintillating thoughts and turgid ideas."
Max: "Me too."

"At least this group has more than one true warrior in it..." the tombstone voice of Xariel muttured next to Hellhog, slight approval in his tone, the shadowey prescense sticking close to him.
There was a faint chime in the air, that sounded like Arkeela. Slight down-gusts showed that she had taken flight, although her pinions made no sound, hovering along behind Pious and keeping close and quiet.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

A gust of wind blew past the legion of unseelie as the now invisible Damsel flew straight through them, not stopping until she had trailed the scattered mob all the way into the deep of the woods. There she saw something no man or woman alive should ever have to endure. "Guys, if you can hear me, come this way" thought Rachel, flushing her thoughts through the woods telepathically, hoping the others would hear it as the sound of her voice, coming from deep within the woods. "You might want to see this."
Floating invisible still not far behind the wall of unseelie the Desert Princess 'heard' the telepathic message. Two voices answered... one dark and deep the other Suraya's...
"No way broad!"
"On my way habiba..."

The prescence of Arkeela stuck with the rest of the group, but Xariel seemed to vanish for a moment, only to re-surface, seemingly straight out of the ground, besides Damsel.
"Say the word, and their parasitic spirits will be snuffed out," he growled.

Pious arrived on the scene and couldn't believe his eyes. Stolen people had been piled together on the forest floor, unconscious, as what appears to be their life essence is sucked away by the unseelie spirits. "Dear God" he whispered, praying silently. "No, look for mister Norman first, if we find him, then you can engage the unseelie" said Pious, explaining his mission plan for the hunters nearby to hear. "The distraction alone should give us ample time to get him out of here. That is our priority, after that, you can do with the undead what you like."
On the sight of the piled humans Suraya muttered... "Alah preserve us!" Shocked as she was she was still doing this kind of thing for too long now to be offguard very long.
Using her rage she detached a phantasmic form... her enslaved and imprisoned djinn given a form of energy and light. Leaving the being around the victims she went looking for Mr. Norman... still invisible.

Ava arrived on the scene via a Zero-G Pack. "Woah..." She muttered. "What the heck happened here?" There was a hint of nonchalance in her voice, not even showing concern for what seemed like the dead, but rather for what caused this.
"Whatever caused this must be a doozy." The cocked the rifle as silently as she could to benefit from the invisibility.
"There!" whispered Arkeela, pointing to a prone man near the back of the 'queue'. He seemed to fit the description the mayor had given them.
"Fetch him," Xariel growled, his eyes reappearing for a moment. The faint shape of Arkeela turned quickly.
"Wait-!"
Xariel erupted back into physical form, the silver chains lashing with a life of their own, ensnaring Unseelie and undead minions with their binding metal, slicing through rotted limbs like it was paper. Grabbing a handful, Xariel whirled, the silver arc slashing across the feeding Unseelie with a crack like thunder.
Arkeela sighed deeply, but raced towards the prone Mr. Norman, a faint arc of light in her hand shivering into a form as she ran.

"Finally!" Ava muttered. She could've swore she heard an 'oh dear' behind her from Carter. The Forcefield Generator immediately pushed the radius of the protective bubble outwards, making sure to encase the entire group.
Ava rummaged through the pouches on her belt and pulled out a single silver bullet. "Gotcha." she muttered while looking at it. She loaded it, raised the rifle and peered through the scope. Then Fired, nailing an Unseelie right between the eyes, slaying it. "Oh yeah! Killed it in the face!" She boasted.
The next thing she did was pull out a couple thin disks. She threw them at the Unseelie. The disks immediately began to float on their own and headed towards the group of spirits. "Let's see how they like being blinded." She muttered.
Pious noted his teammates quickly and effeciently getting to work. It was hard work peering at invisible people but he managed to see a light-based djinn stand guard of the victims as the Arabic woman snuck around. The team's Angel was the first to spot Norman's body and ran to the rescue while her counterpart initiated an attack on the spirits. The gunwoman gleefully followed suit with silver bullets and Pious took the opportunity to strike, lobbing a volley of explosive light over the unseelie. The hungry spirits vanished quickly from the force of the blinding discs and the Fallen's attacks without putting up much of a fight. Yet suddenly, the army of zombies took to arms and began opening fire at anything that moved. Rusted bullets sprayed aimlessly across the forest, some ricochetted off the generated force field but a few reached the mound of sleeping people, piled up on the muddy earth. "No!" screamed Pious, "come on, get these people out of here! Who can teleport? How many of us can teleport?"
Talenar leapt through the air, blades cleaving through the rotten flesh of a nearby zombie, a well placed kick removing it's head before she ducked to avoid the retaliatory fire, cuasing it to hit one of the other zombies.
"Look here holy man" Tal said releaving the now re-deceased zombie of it's weapons, "If you want to get working on moving people out of here you do that, but some of us are a little dis-"
Tal didn't get a chance to finish her scentence, as she had to cartwheel out of the way of more incoming fire, starting to return it with the weapons she 'liberated' from the previous zombie, muttering to herself "Hate it when plans go to hell, stupid celestials"
"None here." Ava grunted, while picking off Unseelie and lobbing various gadgets.
Then Carter spoke up. "I can move over to them to protect them, if you wish. It would meaning sacrificing your cover though."
A brilliant white light fell from the rain sodden nights sky , ..
Having started to circle the woods seeking a unblock path Hellskeeper had made little inroads when Damsel's mental message had reach her ..
Hurling herself skyward Hellskeeper had by passed the line of Unseelie by the simple method of leaping high over them and the trees..
Arriving now she descended upon the zombies , flames of divine wrath spilled out around her burning the undead , , a gesture and a blade of fire was in her hands cutting down the Zombies , from her lips came a word of power , dragging the minds of the unliving to focus upon her , and then from the same lips spat a wave of flame igniting fire in the very fresh of the zombies ..
"I knew I should have brought the flipping bike with me..." Hellhog muttered, cracking his knuckles once more. The biker then calmly strolled over to the edge of the forcefield, casually humming a random tune as he impaled one of the zombies on a flaming sword and watched it burst into flames.
For a brief moment he looked at the impaled zombie as if examining it before attemping to shake the sword, still through the walking corpse, up and down. All it took was a quick boot to get it off and flying into its equally undead comrades, setting them aflame as well.
"Right, if none of you buggers can telewotsit," the biker said to the rest of the gang. "Hand me a bloody bunch of 'em, will you? So I can haul them out and all."
Sam: "My mind is a swirling miasma of scintillating thoughts and turgid ideas."
Max: "Me too."

White light glistened around the prone townsfolk who had been hit by stray shots, the form of Arkeela glowing slightly as she glanced back. She leapt at a zombie that barred her way, the light in her hands coalescing into a large blade that she used to slice the thing in half, before she scooped up the form of Mr Norman.
"Xariel!" she shouted, over the cacophony.
The fallen glanced at her, grunted, then gestured. Reality seemed to warp for a moment, before Arkeela and her ward appeared again beside him, and Arkeela ran back to the rest of the group. Xariel strode on, chains and blasts of dark, almost hellish light blasting and slicing zombies apart.

Surayaa saw the zombie attack starting... she knew her spell of invisibility wouldn't last long anymore. And those zombies probably would know someone was there now anyway. It was just blund luck zombies are usually real dumb.
Looking back she saw Meymaneh ( ميمنه ) phantasm body going wild on all zombies who dared to approce the victims, as she ordered her enslaved djinn.
Sounding an evil laughter over the place he shot bolts of pure heat around. Enjoying himself obviously he screamed out... "Burn... stupid creatures of death... burn! Let us show those cursed angelim in this team what a real hd'jinni can do!"

After a couple minutes of meditation, the reverend snapped open his eyes and came back to attention, his abilities now shifted from pulsar energy to spacetime. He noticed his invisibility was slowly fading and quickly dove into the mound of victims. He concentrated all of his energy into the ball of palms, using every ounce of his strength to create a miniscule singularity and draw a wormhole through spacetime. Reality seemed to ripple and bend in juxtaposition as Pious disappeared, vanishing along with him the stolen peoples of Salamanca, including the prone body of Mister Norman. At the hospital, electricity sparked and danced around violently as reality angled awkwardly in all directions, before suddenly, two dozen unconscious men and women crashed landed onto the carpeted lobby. The angel's healing touch seemed to have done the trick because one by one, the victims of the unseelie frenzy began to wake, staggering to their feet. Pious quickly briefed the doctors on the situation before teleporting back to the heroes in the forest. "I got them away" he panted, crash landing into the muddy floor. "They're safe at the hospital now."
"Everyone... close your eyes... NOW!", Suraya screamed aloud when she heard Pious that the people where safe.

"Huh?" Was the only thing Ava managed to say while staring wide-mouthed at Pious, perplexity on her face.
Desert Princess walked between them. In the back of her mind a dark voice screamed out on the appearance of Hellskeeper her axe... "Yes, leave her here. I don't want her near us!"
A small but wicked smile came on her face knowing her inner-demon wasn't feeling happy. "It will be ok habiba... you can follow when the action starts I guess."
She spread her arms and everyone around slowly dissappeared... like a Fata Morgana being removed from sight.
