Best Team Arena Blaster
Some still prefer Fire/ though. That more preference or is there room for argument?
Different top blasters in the game have different opinions on what's truly the best. That's enough for me to say there's room for argument.
I don't think that there's any question that psy is the easiest to play, because the playstyle revolves around exploiting a bug. But if that ever gets fixed, and the sets can be compared fairly, fire is right up there...as is sonic.
I'm not sure as to which is overall better, but IMO sonic takes a little more skill seeing as you have to know when to use what attacks (shout and screech), and managing -res debuffs to their full potential, instead of just spamming damage (flares)
Psy isn't nearly as amazing as a set as it seems ATM, I conducted an experiment recently, few months recently that entailed buying a nice inf's worth of placate procs and dam/range hamis. I had them duel me once with the procs, then once with D/R hami "++"'s, then I gave them a placate proc that I bought.
I had the psy/ems duel me standard NO TS;HD with the proc, I lost 2 matches, tied 1 won 1, 5-2, 4-1, 3-3, and 2-3 respectively.
I then had them replace the placate proc with a 50 dam/range hami "++", I tied one match at 2-2, won 4, closest of my winning matches being something like 7-4( We both brought all reds, was so lulzy)
Just to paint a picture of the shake up of the tier list once the placate proc gets fixed, Although it will still be decent, becuase the proc will prolly still fire occassionally, but not like it is now, and I beleive it will be knocked off the top three.

Sonics damage looks subpar, but the delay on it and the -res makes it easily outshine archery in cases of taking down targets that can survive an initial attack chains.
Guys Psi is not good because of the placate proc. Please get that misconception out of your heads ^^. Psi has 4 attacks all at an 80 foot range. 3 of those attacks come with really quick animations. You rarely ever root if you know what you are doing. You can snipe apart from those 4 attacks. You can spike. You have delayed damage. Yes the placate proc helps but apart from duels it is amazingly useless. Enough said. Archery is better than sonic by far. Range is king and sonic has animations which allow you to go take a dump and come back. Fire is meh for most but if you are good and/or used to the animations it becomes a whole lot better.

Honestly, if the psy proc gets fixt, I'ld rather fite a good psy then a good fire any day. Archery isn't common enough for me to get a good feel on that.

Yea....placate proc is good but psy's advantage does not revolve around an exploit in zones.
In zones you set up a hella spike with Will Dom > mental blast > psionic dark > tk blast, all hit within a 2 second time span and can pretty much kill a squishy with aim/bu on. The delayed damage if used correctly can destroy someone out of the blue if used correctly/intelligently.

Can somebody post the psi numbers....
While i havent tested the numbers myself, according to Mids and the ingame numbers, Sonic does more damage than Archery.

I've gotta ask anyway... But I take it the target taking that damage that you recorded had the same res on lethal as it did on energy?
Having PvPd with both sonic and arch, I always felt like my sonic would hit harder... The moment sonic hits once those numbers would change in sonics favour.

The res debuffs from Blaster sonic blast have always been minimal - and are even more so with the DR system.
Psi is the burst damage specialist - mainly due to delayed damage.
Fire is more reliant on consistent damage - making it more ideal for finishing.
Given that ALL BLASTERS ARE TERRIBLE BECAUSE THEIR DAMAGE IS A JOKE, spikes are not so clean as they used to be. That said, a combination of Psi Blasters and a Fire Blaster mixed with a Dom/Stalker/FF is probably your best offensive squad.

Fire is probably right behind Psi right now. Ice is bad, yes.
