I know it's been a while since my last post. I've been in somewhat of an artistic slump the past month or so and I've found it really hard to finish any of the projects I have on the go. But, finally, I have the second of five from my x-mas Free Art contest/post thingie..

Very cool Twizded. You convey a lot with a small range of (vibrant) colors.
Love that the "steampunk" (as the game calls it) chest plate has the look of a patina on it.
Thanks guys. I've been practicing new painting techniques and I think some of that really paid off in this character bust. The tarnished "steam punk" armor is my favorite part of the entire piece and turned out much better than I though it would.
I kinda cut myself short on time to do this one and I think it really shows.. I apologize for the rush job, but I really wanted to get this done and posted.

I have to agree with CR on the Girl Crush piece, she turned out really well. At first I was a little worried about the clash between the characters hair and the pink in her outfit, but once the flats were done and I started adding details it looked fine.

Thanks guys! Aside from the stockings scanning in a little too light, I really like how this one turned out. While doing the sketch work I wasn't sure if it was "anime" enough but once I got it into Photoshop I think everything came together fairly well.
She looks AWESOME !!! This made my Easter even better !

I'm pretty sure I still have that project in my Hero Dawn folder (yes I have an art folder just for the SG). When I was still working on the Vindicators I started a few HD iPhone wallpapers. Between my current commissions, this game, and my Star Wars fan art I'm kinda swamped right now though. So if I go back to the iPhone stuff it wont be any time soon.
