Hello Scrappers
Looks like you're very excited about Alexei, Werner. I'm looking forward to the results and limits of that toon.
You know, reading up that thread again I fought Adamastor |
The AV, definitely.
I don't see any scrapper being able to take out a GM without insps/temps. I used to think a Fire/Shield could take out the weaker ones with AaO saturated, but GMs would run and mess things up wouldn't they ?

What're U'kon Grai's stats?
You can forget about it for any level 50 GM ; they regen something like 360 hp per second.
Lower level GMs have less HP and regen less - but it's important to keep in mind player damage scales down too. I'm thinking Kraken or Babbage could be doable for very high DPS builds, but anything over that might regen too much (although it's just a gut feeling from my attempts *with* insps/temps, and not hard numbers).
Lusca doesn't run, but she deals a goodly amount of Toxic, I believe, which might be a problem of she lands any hits on you. There's also the whole Gotta-Kill-All-The-Arms thing.

Not the right place to ask that but.... can you add GMs in AE missions?
Cause while U'kon Grai mean be do-able, the setting is just too horrible. You'd have an army of +4 riktis helping him, so a mix of slashing, energy, fire and psy damage. =/
Anyone managed to beat one of the DE monster? With insps, it might be do-able, specialy since some of them have weakness IIRC.

As to the question of De Monsters: I believe, back in the day, some folks were able to drop them like they were AVs, or some such. Slash Monkey, if I recall correctly. I don't know if that still holds true.
You can put GM´s in AE missions. Some sapwn as Archvillains and a few as GM´s though.
Havent figured out how to bypass mission being set to the gm´s level though. tried putting in kraken but i was auto exemped to 14.
What is a DE monster?
ahh...silly me...lol. So, what were the builds that people used to beat 6 and 7 AV's?

No one's answered the question though, how tough are the DE monsters compared to AV's or the Pylon?
Are they solo-able?

Thank you everyone at Paragon and on Virtue. When the lights go out in November, you'll find me on Razor Bunny.

To demonstrate that an AV build can survive them just fine, here's Sergei's Monster Island Vacation. I survived three Devouring Earth monsters for a while, grabbed a fourth, and went down not long after that.

I'm surprised Silverado didn't get a chance to mention this yet, but while basically no one can lay out enough damage to out-gun their HP/sec regen, characters with debuffs (particularly -Regen) can stop their regen enough to defeat them even at sometimes much lower raw DPS. Many of these sets also sport -DR, which amounts to a damage multipler. Powersets that are good at this are Traps, Rad Emission, Cold Domination, and even Mental Assault/Manipulation (for Drain Psyche).

Good to know. Thanks. The Devouring Earth are my second favorite enemies right after Rularuu, but at 50 only the rocks spawn in missions which makes them really boring instead of fun. I'd often wondered about trying the Monsters, but all my attempts were futile.

(Was particularily interested in seeing how close to dying you get and how often.)
