Hunting GMs - Solo (Share your builds and ideas)
Does anyone have experience trying GMs with a kin/sonic?

I wouldn't expect Drain Psyche's regen debuff to be as good as Lingering Radiation, and a sonic blaster doesn't get as much -Res in its attacks as a defender ot corrupter. If I recall correctly, it's only 7.5% or so, compared to 13% for Corrs and something ridiculous like 20% for defenders.

Also, the -res is
-20 for defenders
-15% for corruptors
-13% for blasters
The hard part is getting softcapped ranged defense AND perma DP(it requires around 130% global recharge including enhancements and hasten

All that said, I think -250% regen combined with blaster base damage and defiance on top of the -13% res and having aim/build up(concentration) would be enough to kill a GM, but the build would be far more expensive than something you could put together with a defender/corruptor

Blasters yes, DP is -250% -regen(Lingering is -500%, unless you include dominators, psionic assault's DP is -500%)

Here is my Illusion/Thermal controller.
I can solo most GM's, AV's, and I do a Pylon in about roughly 5 minutes.
I use this toon for Arena duels so that's why Blind is slotted the way it is, with that placate proc.

I think that a Traps/Sonic Defender would have enough debuffs, but not enough damage to hurt a GM. |

Update: The Sonic/Rad Def is pretty much a success and solos GMs and AVs pretty well. She would be better with some changes and the flexibility added by using the PvP +3% Global Def proc and switching from Combat Jump/Super Jump to Hover Fly. Maybe a respec is in order at some point.
My next project (Fire/Rad) will follow below. I have been working on her build for awhile and she is currently a Fire/Rad/Ice but as such seems gimped with only having soloed a few AVs. As such its time for a full on rebuild for her and again I can see she would benefit from the 2 Billion PvP +3% Def proc which would allow me to move a slot from Tough to Lingering Radiation and add an Acc there as well as slotting a purp damage proc into Ring of Fire and still stay at or above the Ranged Def Soft Cap.

Did you Fire/SD solo AVs?
Yes quite a few actually - one of my better AV solo'ers.
soloed almost all AV's and GM's with my ill/rad/ice troller and nothing is worst than a running GM
