advice for lvl 30
I haven't been back very long, and it's been a while since I've played blue side at the 30+ range. But these are the first things that popped into my head. Croatoa - missions from 25-35. You can also do Scanner missions/Safeguards. Not sure what level range Founders Falls and Brickstown are, but I'm thinking mid 30's off-hand.
***Edit: You can also do your Aura and an additional costume slot mission at 30.
Talos Island and Independence Port are the 20-29 zones. At level 30, your contacts should be giving you introductions to the contacts at Bricks Town and Founders Falls, the 30-39 zones. These are the regular city zones.
Striga Isles (accessible via Ferries at IP and Talos) is also a 20-29 zone. Croatoa (accessible via Greenline(?) Tram) is a 25-35 zone. Striga and Croatoa have self contained zone story arcs like The Hollows zone.
In addition, if you haven't yet, you may want to do the Midnighter's Club introductory story arc to open the Cimerora zone. I forget what level you can start doing the intro story arc, 20+ or something. However, the Cimerora zone is not accessible until you're 35. The Midnighter's contact is in the University at Steel Canyon, you should see him in your Contacts window.
And speaking of 35, you'll want to head over to the Rikti War Zone to do the intro story arc there to get your Vanguard badge so you can start earning Rikti Merits. You can get to the RWZ via the Vanguard DPO buildings (there's a teleport portal in them) which are found at Founders Falls, Peregrine Island and some lowbie zone that I'm blanking on right now.
Teams are the number one killer of soloists.
Thanks! I figured I was missing something. I have one contact in Croatoa, but I think I had stuck in my head that it was PvP. I'll head that way and follow up with the other suggestions.
Thanks again.

You get introduced (via a popup window from Montague Castanella) at about level 10-12. You can do the intro arc early in the teens - which is great if you want that day job, netting you extra arcane drops. I just finished it on a level 18 blaster, who would have done it earlier except she ran a Posi TF that sped her past it.

I'm a LOTRO/CoH player too, and I really enjoy the zone specific storylines - Hollows, Fautline, Striga, Croatoa, RWZ for example.
There's a lot of stuff out there. Since you're level 30, you can go to Ouroboros and start checking out things you might have missed too.
Agreed. Definitely get and use your Ourboros Portal for quick transportation across zones and access to Story Arcs you've missed, or ones you want to do again!
If you haven't done the Faultline stories (15-20 and 20-25), I suggest you give 'em a whirl.

I have only encountered this redside, but I would assume the blueside is the same... Someone correct me if it's not.
Do take the opportunity to do those Safeguard (radio) missions. They aren't much themselves in terms of story content, but after you complete the 5-or-so missions and fulfill the safeguard, you will be introduced to a new contact in that zone. So far, these new contacts have always led to a new story arc. It's a great way to get a new contact when you empty out your window. (Not to mention the temporary powers granted the first time you complete each zone's safeguard mission!)
I'm new-ish. Again.
@Kahzi. Pinnacle, mostly.
Another thing you might want to do at level 30 is unlock the stores in Brickstown and/or Founders Falls (I believe these have level 35 & 40 enhancements). Unlike previous stores, these need to be unlocked by doing missions. You should at least unlock the one for your origin, but may want to do them all. I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I think doing a store mission may get you an introduction to a new level 30+ contact too.

Yeah ditto this, when I hit 30 I usually head to Bricks & FF and grab ALL the "store" unlock missions, regardless of my Hero's Origin, just because they're fun little stand-alones that take you "off the beaten path" for a few hours.
Also ditto Croatoa, that zone has some super-fun arcs (the first 15 times you do them, anyway).
Croatoa has some of my favorite story arcs in the game. It is also a zone with a great atmosphere.

Since the Halloween days started you can find me and others in Bricks Trick or Treating around 8pm-midnight Central time. There are usually only two or three teams running and you may have to just be lead and collect the four people broadcasting LFT.
I have a 31 [with only 3 blocks to 32...Full Auto FTW...] who levels about every night. And even a good team of four can off the purple street spawns in seconds.
ToT + Trip mines + M-30 grenades + scrapper + defender = Bad Craziness.
I've been playing for a few months, and have my blaster to around level 30. I'm enjoying the game, but I'm hitting a bit of a slowdown the last couple of weeks. As it's taking a bit longer to level (which I'm fine with, I'm all about the journey), I'm also noticing that I'm stalling a little bit in terms of having content to do. I'm sure I'm missing something, so I'm looking for advice on where to look next.
I've been working Independence Park contacts, and have most of them at Confidant status. Given my playstyle and the nature of my odd work schedule these days, I have a strong preference for PvE and soloing, so I've not touched a couple least one that required a team to play. Are there other zones I should look at this point for contacts?
Also, I'm really interested in investing in the mythology of the game, as its the story that is going to hold my interest in the game long term. In terms of quests, I've been focusing on book missions, feeling like the investment in the story arcs provides a far more engaging experience (and yes, I read the mission texts!). Is there anything I should do in-game or out of game to get a better sense of the larger story arc? This is the only my second MMO, and the other one I play is an IP that I care a lot about (LOTRO). I'd like to get a better investment in the story of this game.
Thanks for any advice you might have!
