So apparently to win Best Enemy Group yours has to be as nonsensical and simultaneously forgettable as possible, using the same few critters over and over. Groups that are actually diverse and balanced are right out.

Shouldn't be too hard to create a villain group that awesome. Just look at the sheer number of zombie arcs out there...nope, not too hard at all.

Eva Destruction AR/Fire/Munitions Blaster
Darkfire Avenger DM/SD/Body Scrapper

Arc ID#161629 Freaks, Geeks, and Men in Black

How does a virus cause pipes and pieces of metal to grow out of your head, as well as turning Excalibur into a piece of rusty metal and suddenly teaching that character how to fight with a katana?

Nevermind, we never got any sensible answers last time around.

I was just double checking the original page and I saw this:

Arc of the Year Architect Award Winner Prize Package (1 winner)

• 1 Sapphire ATI HD 3650 512MB GDDR3 video card
• 1 Logitech G330 headset
• 1 Razer Lycosa keyboard
• 1 Razer DeathAdder mouse
• 1 Razer Destructor mouse pad

Other Architect Award Winner Prize Package (5 winners)

• 1 Sapphire ATI HD 3650 512MB GDDR3 video card
• 1 Logitech G330 headset
• 1 Razer DeathAdder mouse
• 1 Razer Destructor mouse pad

That's 1 arc of the year winner, and 5 winners for each category. So, does Redbone get both the grand prize *and* the runner up prize? Which are practically the same.

Was just looking at the tags: epic fail, and what the eff. I don't understand them at all. The winners might not be well known, and two of them might be controversial choices to some. But they've all been judged fairly, and the devs made their choice and I will stick up for them.

So sad, some peoples' reactions.

Art is subjective. Stories are art. If the person who died 92 times, got zero kills, and provided no support got the PvPEC's nod for "MVP of the year", there'd be a controversy, because you couldn't break down, in numbers, how wrong they were.

This, though, is a matter of opinion. Your opinion didn't match the judges'. I'm very sorry that you didn't get the prize you wanted, but surely you can be respectful enough to let others enjoy their moment of happiness.

Congratulations to the winners! I intend to play all of the arcs later and form my own thoughts on each. For now, however, congratulations, and I hope you enjoy both your prizes and the nods.
Edit: Just got a neg rep: Idealism is for kids. Would the person kindly sign their name to the comment or post here that they had it? I can't really take your feedback seriously if you don't own up to it.

That is a really good question, one I had just posed to myself at dinner. I could see them going either way on that one given the wording.

Yeah, that's the main reason why I was incredibly confused to see that you had won 2 categories. Nothing to do with your arc (I haven't played it so I can't judge), just that... the contest rules really implied that arc of the year would be separate from the other categories.

Wow, trashing the winners on the thread celebrating the win.
It's like I'm reading the reply of the Kanye West of City of Heroes. Stay classy, Lazarus.

You know, Imma let you finish, but I just wanted to say that Whack-a-Mole #2711 is the greatest arc of all time!!

*excuse me sir, but you didn't enter Whack-a-Mole into the contest*

Really? Oh, nevermind then

His comment about not being diverse or balanced doesn't even make that much sense anyways, seeing as it has 9 different custom enemies in it, none of which have an identical powerset primary/secondary combo to any others (and only a couple share one or the other).

Plus, the enemies are balanced enough that the arc's been finished (off the top of my head) solo by a level 12 mastermind, solo by a 26 defender, a solo 50 scrapper set to 8/+1, team of 5 set to +2s, and team of 8 set to +0s, and that's just the ones I KNOW about, and the only complaint I've ever got about their difficulty was that if too many of the thermal lieuts spawn it can make the fight a little long if they all stack shields on the boss. I've actually retooled the powersets of the entire group like, three times to get them to where they are.

I won't even go in to why they look like they do because Lazarus told me the excuse I gave him last time basically didn't count and that he refused to accept it, so he's obviously not interested in understanding why, anyways. I dunno, I guess some people just like to dump on other people's successes

But it's true!

Aw, that's just because I was only asked to review 2 of the 5.

Even Mr. Scrooge here isn't going to be against people getting free stuff.

But congratulations to everybody who put in, and all the finalists, because free publicity is almost as good as free stuff.
