Does Romy in fact heal off pets, or the Nictus?

I always heard that he did, but someone on an ITF a few days ago said he does not, it just looks like he does.

Does anyone know for sure?

AFAIK, the Healing Nictus uses a form of Twilight Grasp that will give off an AoE Heal around it. The amount it heals depends on how many foes are in range of it (and that includes pets).

IF Romulus is close enough to the Healing Nictus, he will get healed by it.

Plus there's patrols / ambushes of Romans in the area, not unknown for a Surgeon or two to hang back healing him.

I think most people are ansering what he heals off of. But I was on that ITF and the person that we were with said that the green numbers appear above his head, but the heals dont count off pets. Apperently according to the in game stats or somthing, if u watch the Global rolls, the heals dont count.

Quite sure it counts off anything the Nictus can target. pets, players, statesjerk....

That being said - non-targetable pets (voltaic sentinel, lightning storm, etc) by their very nature wouldn't contribute to the heal.

Romulous is surrounded by 3 nictus at the start of the fight.

The Nictus to his immediate left is the Healing Nictus.

The healing Nictus uses a variant of Twilight Grasp that affects all players and their pets. This can be observed by players walking slowly towards the steps and Romi. At somewhere between 80ft to 70ft the Healing Nitcus will activate and start to draw from players and their pets and begin to heal.

The range limitation is such so that a team strong on ranged damage, which averages 80 feet, can attack the Healing Nictus without heals being set off.

If everything is working correctly, Phantom Army should be the only pet set unaffected by the Healing Nictus. If your imps, spiders, jack frost, animated stone, or other pet is not being affected, don't get too comfortable with that situation.

People who say it doesn't count ought to go on a run with a Plant Control player or two, and see how much harder it is to damage him when Carrion Vines are out.

Will one or two small pets make a significant difference to a good team? No. Does the number of entities nearby matter? Hell yes.

Pets count.
