Are Mez attacks suppose to stop your transforming?

I'll give you one issue that I cannot just "suck it up" about, the whole thing with the goto_tray command executing when the form-shift toggles won't shut off and revert you to Human form. The goto_tray command should not execute when the powexec_toggle_off command won't either. It is that simple, and that is a QoL issue for any Kheldian player that uses keybinds to switch forms and trays.

I believe that a Kheldian Gold Standard should be based on SO's, and for anything above that... there's Platinum!

Even without that post, you have to use common sense to see if it's WAI. Let's see, the devs provide something new for Khelds so they can get out of their mezzed state, making Dwarf form more viable. Then they purposely make it so you can get mezzed while transforming? Okay. That makes no sense, and matches up not at all with what I know of BAB and Castle from their posting.
I can't find their posting on that, but ok. I believe if they said something along the lines of "wasn't intended," it most likely had something to do with the form change activation times, which they so far haven't wanted to change at all--thus the "can't do much about it" you're referring to.

Now, if they were to shorten form activation times, I'd totally get behind something like that. Not only would you be able to *possibly* avoid a few mezzes while activating, it would most definitely make the form-shifting feel a lot less "clunky" for me.

And yes, I'm highly "vindictive." One can't tell me to "suck it up" when I make a suggestion and not expect me to call BS when I see those same people complaining about a very similar subject, just because THEY'RE the ones "inconvenienced" by it now...

At best, that's highly hypocritical.

I didn't see whatever debate you are referring to, so let me know if I make an error with responding to this (as in what the debate was about).

It seems like someone told you to "suck it up" when dealing with mezzes in human form, when you were arguing for mez protection in human form. I'm assuming that's what happened. If so, the rest applies, if not, I'll have to rework.

Anyway, arguing for mez protection in human form is NOT the same as arguing for mez protection with Dwarf to work better. Castle made the call that providing mez protection in human form was too much, therefore it was nixed. So if someone told you to suck it up about that situation, that wasn't the greatest or nicest way to say it, but that is the way it is. You can argue that it doesn't make Dwarf form too weak, but you would have to do so in a way that overrode Castle's own estimation of the matter when he looked at it. He seems thorough and methodical with what he does, so that would be a tough thing to do. You can always try, though! (I know I'm still arguing for some Fiery Aura tweaks).

Castle's choice was to put mez protection into Dwarf form. If that's the way things are, then that decision SHOULD work through and through for Dwarf form. That is what is at issue here. Getting knocked out while formshifting makes the chosen system not work well. It already takes awhile to formshift, so having to repeatedly select dwarf form and hope you don't get mezzed while shifting is not good design (if it was intended, and again it wasn't... not sure what they're doing about it, though) or a good setup.

So no matter what past conversations have been, put this argument into the correct frame. I would also say telling people to suck it up is never a good idea or a good way to argue, no matter how right you are about everything else. Not trying to get on your case, just making an observation about common forum/internet debate issues, heh.

Ah, but who doesn't like popsicles? Who? That's okay, then.

Been awhile since I started this thread, and forgot to thanks the people that answered my question. Yes it was just a question, was not ummm overly complaining about it, would be nice to see it changed, but don't see it happening.

So I'll of course 'suck it up" and continue to play the triform, if fun, its different, it has more mez protection than the god awful humanform (personal opinion on the god awful part)
