I found out when my flights are and I doubt that I'll be on at all Wednesday night.

Ahhh so that was you. I must admit that character of yours made me want to try a Veat again.

I guess Plantatia could have brought his /Elec Brute after all.

Oops...

And yes, the defensive goodness from a Spider is always a plus. I've got one holding at 32 that I plan to get back to playing now that he's moved to Justice.

Not 100% sure what will happen tonight. I wanted to do a master run, but my hardware is still acting up.

My Crab is currently at 49 - although I need to have a 2nd look at the powers and current IO's and do some better IO planning.

Not sure what I should be aiming for with my build (Def, Regen, etc).
Got 2 Pet powers (Spiderlings and Distuptors) but decided against the Patron Pet (Coralax).

If we do a MTF in the future - 3 Crabs [with TT:M] would be awesome

This guide has some very good info on Crab builds and slotting, I'd suggest giving it a read if you need some pointers.

Token on-topic bit: I'll still be getting on late this Wednesday and next, but I'm up for anything that's still running when I arrive.

Had a ball last night folks.

For anyone keeping score there was two racing Silver Mantis runs (won by @Redoubt's team, something of a surprise as @Lili is an expert at this one) followed by a very convenient Arachnos Flier spawn (Heat Seeker at last!) and a 3rd Respec Trial.

Next week will be a Barracuda Strike Force - more details posted closer to the start time.

Two MMs don't speed up the final mission of Silver Mantis . . .

It was won by almost exactly the length of time we had to wait for lili to recover from a crash. We felt it would be a bit mean to do the last mish without one toon. But yes, MMs are a bit of a liability on the last mish (pets KBd off the platform dragging half the map with them on their way back up).

BSF not a favourite of mine, and my only 45+ is a stalker that I marketeer much more than I play, so would be interested in running an Operative Renault alongside the BSF if we have people over from a BSF but not enough for 2.

I'm sure there'll be enough people to run a Renault, so we can definitely have that going too.

And there's never any need to wait for me, technology being what it is people will always have issues, and if we waited for everyone who was having a problem, we'd all have a lot less fun!

I can't take much credit for my team finishing first, both teams exited the defeat all mission at the same time and my guys pretty much ignored my directions on the last mission. We were just fortunate to have a good combination of players/characters who could take out the turrets semi-autonomously.

There are usually a few players who don't want to (or can't) run Barracuda when we do it, so I'd expect that a second SF would be on the cards for next week.

By then I HOPE to have my Crab respecced and IO'd as much as possible (got a lot of INF off a Purple).

This will be a Team based toon with TT:M, TT:A, TT:L, L:M and L:A running (yes im currently working on my Recovery lol). So all up im probably granting a 30% DAM and 22%ish Def and 10%ToHit buff to all those who want to hold my hand

Even if I just stand there buffing everyone and throwing in a Cone or TAoE when my END allows for it (and allowing my Disruptor bots to run free).

Never done the Barracude or Renault so will see whats on offer and who offers the biggest bribe...

Might be the reason why you finished first.

So how did things go last night? SFs aplenty?

This weekend marks the last of this year's holiday madness my household, so I expect to be back on board on a regular basis from next week. I wouldn't mind doing an LRSF sometime in the not-too-distant future, as I'd like to get the Accolade badge for my Stalker. A non-Master run would probably be best so there aren't any accusations of improper placation.

I'm not sure what was happening early, but we started a BSF at around 10:30pm AEDT that went to just under 3 hours.

There was also an Operative Renault SF happening at the same time that went well by all accounts.

Personally, I was very happy with Zephyre's performance on the BSF. She's very good against massed minions, but she can find Bosses a bit of a struggle at times and Hurricane is a PITA for the rest of the team if I leave it on all the time.

All the stuff that I'm doing while I'm playing the character tends to get in the way of me noticing that you're in trouble, but if I do, O2 Boost comes in handy. Except with Stalkers. Apparently nothing I can do can keep a Stalker alive.

We ran a respec before the BSF. It went smoothly and I actually played a brute for the first time in months on it, but I still went splat

4 of us started the Renault, which went down to 3 after about 30 seconds.

We went through it with no problems at all and very few deaths (the only one I remember was after we'd killed the eye cleaning up the ambushes). Finished in about 90 mins with 2 brutes and a /thermal corruptor too low level to have any of the debuffs.

I'm inclined to run an Ice mistral next week if anybody is interested.

I am 99.9% sure that unless some miracle happens in the next couple of days, I will not be on for SINISTER Wednesday this week, and possibly next week.

This week: Iron Man Strike Force

Oedipus Tex mounts the SINISTER podium. "You kids these days, you don't know how easy your Strike Forces are. Back in our day relentless used to mean something, we did them in the snow up hill both ways against +2s! And just for a lousy little badge, no XP, no new-fangled merits, and not even a recipe!"

He throws down a glove and continues. "And so I challenge you to an old-school Strike Force. Your leader has to be -2 or -3 to the Strike Force level, so you'll be fighting real enemies, not these push-overs you 'challenge' yourself with. The new rules mean they'll be tough for the whole Strike Force, so no push-over Arch Villain at the end. You'll still get XP, but you cry-babies probably wouldn't do it otherwise."

"So are you guys in?" he asks, his hand reaching for the big red "Kick" button, "or is it time for this?"

I can provide leaders for Virgil Tarikoss, Silver Mantis and Ice Mistral. Our choice.

//Hands Oedipus Tex heart medication and walking frame.

"Its ok old timer, yes the past was harder but constant advances in technology allows the newer generations an easier ride.
We all thank you for your hard work and toil.
Know that when you pass on we will remember you and /em drink to your memory.
People for many generations will still refer back to your glorious DOM GUIDE (even if it is outdated) .
Rest easy old timer and know that the future is in well intentioned hands"

Ohhh btw yes Im happy to run an "old skool" SF

It would be far more interesting if you told no-one and just did it.

Anybody want to run a -3 LRSF with me?

Ok, maybe not. I've got characters at the right level for a -2 Renault or a -3 Ice Mistral for the late starters. I'll try to bump my Dom to 17 and add the possibility of a -3 Tarikoss as well, but I don't think I have anything within striking distance of the 20-25 range right now (except my Cirque MM, but he's ineligible on the grounds that he has Jump Kick).

It certainly would, but sadly not everyone shares my views on the "fun meter".

Well that was a great experience. We did the Silver Mantis SF set to +3. (I was level 22 when we started.) I was picky about characters unlike normal and we had 1 Brute, 2 Dominators, 2 Widows, and 3 Corruptors. The whole thing went very very nicely, even the final mission with its outrageous number of Missile Boss Turrets. Overall it took three hours, and we had a few deaths here and there, particularly in the last mission, but no team-wipes, and when we stayed together we were fine. Everyone levelled up at least once, but none more than me, I ended the night at level 27. - just the right level to do it again with Operative Renault next week!
