Do the devs even care?
Yes. Just been on test server and we can use the mouse cursor again. Still a few little problems but I for one can live with them. You still get the little flicker as the cursor goes over something clickable but at least it stays where you want it and also, the cursor doesn't turn into a hand to let you know your over something clickable, such as a door on a mish. Thanks you
I did report the cursor bug on the day i16 was released onto the test server. When they released it onto the live server it never showed up straight away so I thought they'd actually fixed it but no such luck so if your saying that if they'd been told about it they wouldn't have released it then they maybe ignored my report. Ummmmm

For future reference, if any of you Mac users who visit the Training Room see a genuine show-stopping critical bug* in in the Mac client before it goes to live, feel free to make as much noise about it as you can on the forums. It really will help, and if I can verify the same bug, I'll join you.
* Make sure it's a CRITICAL bug. The orange hand cursor on its own isn't likely to stop the Mac client from going to live.

Any word if this (incidentally) resolved issues on GMA 950 as well?

basically, if you see a miki on Triumph, it's probably cute and it's probably me.
Huge thanks to cuppamanga and all the folks in the mac help forum for prolonging my borrowed time on this game.

Made a new thread with an eyecatching people so all people know about the fix
So I guess around 30 days to report, identify and fix a (potentially) multi vendor bug isn't too bad...
I guess the moral of the story is that CoX needs more mac beta testers.

Also 30 days for a bug is pretty damn incredible. If we were under Activision, it'd take at least another patch and/or two months of people making the switch from bug-reporting to annoying whining.

I'm new to CoH but I've been doing mac gaming for a while.
3rd parties have VERY BAD mac driver support for mice. Although most companies (like logitech) have downloads for mac, the drivers are buggy.
I come from WoW and had no end to mice problems with my ol' trusty logitech MX500 laser mouse. The problem was the mouse driver and not the game.
I STRONGLY suggest you drop the logitech/etc. proprietary drivers and install USBOverdrive.

It's a free mouse driver for the mac (imho better than steermouse). Once I installed USBOverdrive I stopped having driver problems with WoW.
I use an nVidia 9600 based Mac for testing, and I believe there was someone with an ATI based iMac. Sadly, I have no Intel GMA 3100, and I'd have to borrow a GMA 950 to test that.
It's unfortunate that there weren't any GMA 950/3100 testers to spot the mouse bug on the Training Room while it tested there for several weeks. If a bug like that would have been noted, I'm sure it would have held back the release until it was fixed. I'm hoping next round of testing we can get some Intel GMA players on the Training Room before release.
