I paid you for this commission. You told me that you were going to color it after you had finished DragonBerry's piece. I'm still waiting. That was in February of 2007. I had to eventually get it colored from other artists because it was clear that you weren't going to keep your word. Though i never brought it up to you. It seemed petty but since we are playing tit for tat here.

Actually TA, you specifically told me when we agreed on this commission, that I didn't have to color it, because I told you that I hated coloring. Right from the beginning, the agreement was set to B/W only and if I felt like it, I might color it.

Then, you've never contacted me again saying that you wanted me to 'finish' the color job on it, so it's impossible for me to read your mind.

I don't think you're a liar, TA. I just think that in the heat of the moment, your memories are fuzzy.

In fact, I don't hate you in the slightest, even if everyone assumes I do. I think you're just generally a person who tries to do nice things for people, but doesn't think it all the way through. That's what bothers me the most, because as a person and a moderator at heart, you need to be sure that everyone is thought of when you implement a plan. Doing something halfway is a recipe for disaster when someone doesn't want to obey the 'unstated' and go along with everyone.

People as a whole are filthy, disgusting selfish creatures who will always lie, always abuse each other and always fight amongst themselves. Individuals can always rise above and become shining examples of humanity, but the great unwashed masses always make up the lowest cesspools of morality. When you want to take responsibility for people, you have to keep that in mind and create laws and rules to keep that segment in check, regardless of how many 'good individuals' are involved.

Ask the moderators here. While a large percentage of the forum goers are likely well meaning and competent posters, there's always that lower filth that will completely ruin everything, if you don't account for them beforehand. They will never play by the 'unstated rules,' thusly they will ruin not only the project at hand, but also the faith of the people who are well-meaning, that you would be able to keep order.

If you want to lead, then you need to have an iron will, be able to make decisions and stick with them and have the intestinal fortitude to uphold those decisions, in the face of opposition. As far as I've seen here, you do not have that ability TA. *That* is my only issue with you. I would gladly team with you, chat with you and generally be friendly with you still, as I'm not and have never been angry with you. Regardless of who was in the leadership position, I would hold them to the same standards that cause me to question your decisions. It's just at the moment, whether you meant it or not, you're the lead dog.

When people were asked if they wanted a listing of the artists who had a current sale, they were not thinking of everyone. They were thinking of themselves. They see something which they like and is of use to them, so they selfishly vote for it without thinking of the repercussions it might have on everyone involved. They were not thinking of the artists here who might not enjoy having the competition. They were simply seeing something that was of use to themselves and that's all that mattered. In some cases, I'm sure that people believed that because it worked for *them* that it would work for *everyone* and that is just completely flawed. Those few that would be trampled on because they don't see it as a good thing would be drowned out by the majority, because that majority is only concerned about themselves. Whether that's an artist or a 'collector' they're not concerned with the people that decision hurts. I find that reprehensible and thusly I will fight for equality, regardless of if it involves me directly or not. What's wrong is wrong, my position in the world doesn't change that.

As for Eddy, the answer you seek is above. I don't feel that it's necessary to prove how big of a heart I might have, what accomplishments I've made or the positive things that I've done. It frankly doesn't matter. I don't need anyone to like me or feel that I need to prove my worth to anyone. All I want is equality across the board and someone strong enough to enforce that. Because, I will never have faith in the good nature of humanity to keep things balanced and safe.

It's not philosophy, it's math. It only ever takes one action to break perfection. Once it's gone, you can't ever get it back. For 99% of the forum users who might be kind and awesome people, that 1% will ruin everything. Good intentions will never eliminate that.

(Edit: BTW, I do actually post my art here. I always have. I just keep it clean in one thread that I necropost to every so often in order to not spam the board with it all the time. That's why people likely haven't seen it. Also, I only post CoX related art and that's a small segment of the art I actually do. I'm not *keeping* my art from the board in any fashion.)

Do they bother you (and others)?

Were those the ones you were reporting?

Personally, on the one hand, I'm glad that people can come here and be able to find a way to purchase fan art. But on the other hand I can see where Deebs is coming from - I really am not sure if I want to see this place turn into a market.

Whatever happened to subtlety?
hey juggs just saw this so thought id respond .

for the most part Advertising bugs me its an additional layer of forum gunk I need to shift through (not a big hassle i'll agree but if you don't let people know that you dislike something then they are liable to assume you like it or want it ) for the most part advertising by players isn't a big deal since theres not really that many folks doing comissions that play the game .

so to me its bearable and honestly I want anyone that plays the game and draws to succeed even if I personally loathe them .

Its harder for me to ignore and irks me alot more when I see advertisements for folks that aren't supporting the game espescially if its scattered through multiple threads .

the way TA has it set up currently though means at least to me its once again bearable as my major concern was seeing a bunch of threads popping up to advertise folks that are not willing to support the game but want my money to help support them .

So with the advertising for outsiders mostly contained to one area (sorta like how a red light district makes it easy to go there or avoid it entirely ) im not nearly as inclined to stress over it .

honestly you'll never see me complain about any thread by a player of City of Heroes looking to build their contacts and get work .

I hope that answers your question

They just never learned to loathe properly... It takes skill and dedication to do right.
