I think for a lot of people (myself included) the problem with getting 1Bil Inf is not generating the cash it's refraining from spending it 
. When it comes down to it though you have to decide which do you get more enjoyment from, a decked out toon or a 10-digit Inf number. Personally I prefer the former (although I currently have the latter as well).
I blame the jerk hackers. Purpling a warshade aint what it used to be.
I feel your pain...I am almost to 500 mil and I am soooo tempted to spend right through it!
The nice thing is that once the builds are done and you don't have anytihng in particular to spend your inf on, it piles up fast.

well, aint did the math but my scrapper has all 4 health uniqes, 5 slotted Apocalypse,Hecatome, and Armageddons, , the other 2 pvp uni's, and 5 lotg globals plus a few other shinies.
The more people I meet, the more I'm beginning to root for the zombies.
If I wasn't doing the builds along the way, I"m sure I'd have 1B on a few chars, but I tend to have both Inf generating activites and build related activities going on the same characters, sometimes with the same bids (e.g. buy 10 of something I need 2 of and sell 8). Since you have to wait a long time to get some items at particular level ranges for good prices, I need to have those bids up for weeks, and might as well have something else going on on the side.
I really wish they would put commas in...

I could get like 6 billion for everything in my builds (at pre-i16 prices) plus my total inf.
But then what would be the point of having the inf if you don't make uber builds?
A game is not supposed to be some kind of... place where people enjoy themselves!

I really want to get to the billionaire club but everytime i get a few hundred million saved up, i give it all away in competitions!
Think the longest i was able to keep my "must give away" feeling was when i got to 700 million and then . . . cossie comp!!!!! Regretted it straight away!

I was in the "giving money away mood" this weekend so i was handing out millions to random players as they walked by.
As the previous reply stated once you have the build you want (and it does not have to be an uber purpled out, i got every shiny there is plus one) then the inf/infam just keeps adding up.
I have made two builds in the last three months and i just realized if i never did that i would have had over one bil
oh ya the builds had a cost of 700mil altogether
