I'll put up 13-million in influence towards a costume contest if someone wants to orgainize it, and if I can participate in judging. Unfortunately I have no infamy on Guardian.
One suggestion - the participants in the contest should have two costume slots available. In one slot they should have their "standard" heroic costume, and in the other their praetorian costume so they can switch back-and-forth for the judges to compare.

Okay. My main is the descendant of a very 'bad' guy from about 4,000 years ago; a restless spirit who will periodically (continuously and consecutively) become part of or gain control over one of his descendants (who are generally 'good' people) through a demonically charged ritual formula (it's complicated). Through the millenia, this spirit has mellowed (gotten jaded), and by the time he became 'part' of the latest descendant (a decidedly Heroic personage) he has gained scruples, wisdom, a warped sense of humor (puns included), and is a pretty nice guy. He is now basically a 'Villain' with the heart of a 'Hero' stuck in a demonic curse cycle who is stuck in a Hero's body who has been pschically forced into villainy and is playing the Villain so that he can be a Heroic guardian.
Now that I've confused myself; how do I 'Praet' him?

So... Halloween is coming up in a few weeks, as is Hero Con.
I had a crazy idea for a sort of server wide theme event. Not even a costume contest (I lack the funds for prizes), but an event in honor of Going Rogue.
It... lacks a catchy name currently, but the basic idea is that everyone dresses up as the "Praetorian" version of themselves. This doesn't mean "just add a goatee", but if you're strapped for cash you can. I mean what you would imagine your toon would be like if they hailed from Praetoria instead of Primal Earth. If you don't want to even bother with that much, you could create a "Rogue" version of your toon instead. ...Or you could add a goatee.
Then we could have a Halloween party in Pocket D while we aren't Trick Or Treating/Fighting Zombies/Whatever.
And maybe if someone else would be willing to organize it (because I'm too poor and noobish to do so) we could have a costume contest.
I dunno, what do you think? Fun Halloween/Hero Con thing?
In fact... if it's possible... we could even host a version on the test server during Hero Con as well?
