Yea, I had signed up to do the ITF first. When I realized my mistake, I posted in the other thread saying I wouldn't be able to make it. I got to Cim and they were already on their way to the mission.

So now I'm here, beating up Clamor with you.

Any tricks to what you guys did? Any hang ups, etc.? I do want to give this a try at some point. Heh, sounds like I wouldn't have hung you all up too much and could have joined you if it had been starting a little later.

And glad you could join us, Magnarsh: it was a good run!

Eh, no big. A tell would have been nice but it doesn't seem like you all had too much trouble with it, so I probably wouldn't have enjoyed myself anyways, not to mention I would have been operating on no sleep from the night before. I am pretty sure I am destined to not PvE. I haven't PvEd in over a month, possibly two. It was a sign!

And I wasn't "way late," we got there in time to see you leave! lol, so like 10min? Anywho, grats on the accomplishment. They should make badges for that!

Only real tricks, were the many repeated deaths while destroying the crystals in the, what is that, second mission? And of course, when we got to the AVs in the third mission, we had some issues pulling, as someone thought it a good idea to pull Rommy and Requiem from right in front of the mobs on the edge of the platform... But we discovered it's quite possible to take out AVs with only stalkers, and quite quickly too.

Our tactic for Romulus in the final mission was simple... Clear the platform and surrounding area as per normal, then stand about 100yrds away from Rommy, and pick off the Nictus 1 at a time from range,(starting with the healing one) then running like mad when the Nictus died, as Rommy and the remaining Nictus weren't too happy when we killed their buddies... Once we broke aggro, we gathered up, and repeated on the next Nictus... Anyways, once the Nictus were all down, we dropped a buff Nuke from Warburg on ourselves, then dropped Shivans and Nukes on Rommy's head, and jumped him all at once... Fastest I've ever seen the sucker go down...

All in all, it wasn't too difficult to pull off.

Wait, what? How did you pick off anything at range on a Stalker? Do the Patron ranged powers do enough DPS to do that? Or did you pull one of them from range?

I know the ranged trick can work, as that is what we did on the all Kheld ITF to clear the Nictus around Romulus, but I didn't think that was an option with Stalkers.

Did you just have bad luck with your defense not saving you from the crystals? Or did some of the non-defensive stalkers forget to get out of range? Heh.

Don't forget Nemesis Staff and Black Wand, GP. Plus any misc. temp powers (rikti rifle, submachine gun, etc).

It's a shame that my villain server is Champion, I have a MA/EnA stalker that would have loved this thing. I have been able to last more than two minutes "tanking" Rommy in a PuG team wipe where the Fire/ tank wasn't doing too well (returning player, old SOs build, no big deal but we did wipe a few times ). In fact, she can scrap it quite well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5u3dxo2txs.

Once the autohit Nictus is out, you should be able to dogpile Rommy no problem. In fact, if you can split it, take the autohit nictus down while someone keeps the rest busy should work too. All you need is a stalker that can scrap it! And repress the urge to use Placate

That said, congratulations on getting this done, ranged pwnage works too after all

Yeah, they actually can do enough DPS,(so long as you stay out of range of their AoE heals, and spam Hasten to keep them recharging as fast as possible) especially paired with the Nemesis staff/Blackwand. Took about 3-5 minutes or so to take each one down, but they did go down.

As for the crystals, we were trying to blitz through it, and for the most part, it was unlucky rolls, and the number of mobs aggroed onto any one person, since they tended to ignore those who were still hidden. For any of my deaths, it was either the above mentioned bad rolls, or simply forgetting to pop Shadow Meld before ASing the crystals, as I had only just respeced into it for the TF...

Interesting, I wouldn't have thought that was enough DPS. Good to know, though, for future reference. I'm planning on getting the ranged attack and Shadow Meld from GW's patron pools for my Stalker, so it's good to know they can come in handy.

Fabulous! and i love the "where's stalkers" picture. I'm going to work on some levels for Mann so maybe I'll be ready when someone runs this again.

Rumor has it that it will be very soon.

Like Shenku said, the crystals accounted for a good portion of the defeats, and we definitely had a much more difficult time with mobs of minions instead of EBs or AVs. I remember that I got completely surrounded by about 20 Cimerorans when I had Retsu up, and all it took was 2 lucky hits in a row to take me down. Those guys HURT! I definitely have a new appreciation for Tankers now.

On the plus side, though, I think we set a record for uses of the Nectar power from the Valentine's event. Most people seem to forget about it, and wow is it useful!
