No double posting
...it is a sin?
Because the edit button exists for a reason? o.O
Sam: "My mind is a swirling miasma of scintillating thoughts and turgid ideas."
Max: "Me too."
Stuff
Because it is an obvious attempt at post count PLing, it breaks up what could be one post, and its annoying.
What's annoying is quoting someone, who was in turn quoting someone, and not having that quote nested.
I can understand that the Mods are trying to avoid quote-pyramids, but come one, at least give up one nested quote.
I'll cop to doing this on occasion, though it's usually a case of catching up on a thread, replying to something, then replying to something else later in the thread (maybe a couple of pages later) before anyone else posts anything.
Suggestions:
Super Packs Done Right
Influence Sink: IO Level Mod/Recrafting
Random Merit Rolls: Scale cost by Toon Level

I hate when people do this the person just said something who else would be you talking to, although i some times do this

In the case of the Questions section, to preseerve the question (to give the answer some context) so the exact same question doesn't have to be asked again, having been answered already.
I just hate the "I got my question answered, so I'm going to delete it so no other new player knows the answer" thing.
Oh, and often enough, people typing at different speeds jump in front of each other.

I know it can be done manually, just annoying.
As for responding to multiple posts, I like the new multi-quote feature.
Of course there is a limit, have 4+ posts in a row can get obnoxious... especially if the person doesn't quote what it is they are responding to.
It's a rather arbitrary forum rule. Honestly, post count is mostly meaningless, and I don't find it to be too much of an issue.

[speaking of that almost at 2000 post yay.]
I've been mod-smacked on other boards for double-posting, but I don't consider it a huge sin, especially here on the CoH forums. It's problematic when posts are needlessly broken down when they could have been one, and when a person treats the forums like a chat room and single-sentence-appends several posts in rapid succession.
In short, it's discouraged, but rarely truly problematic. I say "discourage," but it may well be against the rules. I haven't read them lately.
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

I never have read the rules maybe i should do that sometime

Edit: And responding to multiple quotes in the old forums was a pain in the tuckus.
You always give me big quotes to read Chaos Creator
Paragon City Search And Rescue
The Mentor Project
I try to *always* quote when I am directly replying to someone specifically on these new forums. On the old forums, you could tell (mostly) who was being replied to because of the "Re:" line, but now we lost that hint.
Sometimes, I'm a slow poster, and on particularly active threads, it may be several posts later when mine appears. By quoting, it's clear what I am talking about in my post.
