quick question. Are therms good for the raid, and what team would they be on? Im torn in between bringing my rad/therm or my widow. There the only 2 vils i have that are setted right and that i have confidence in doing this raid. The widow i know would be yellow damage.

thaw, forge, directed heal on the brutes.

there is no actual yellow damage team. sometimes the brute teams will pick up some ancillary melee damage.

Yeah the last few red raids I remember being on just had two yellow damage teams (6 Brutes and 2 support per team if we could get 'em) and each team took a side, doubling up Brutes on each mito.

Good job Ice, and everyone else. A very smooth villain raid.

P.S. Abyss crashed me again on Hammy defeat.

Started to get really nasty lag after we killed Hami so I scooted out as soon as I could. Raid went very well though - doubling up bio nukes helped a lot in terms of kill speed and survivability on the yellow teams.

Yea it got pretty brutal with the lag.

Yea the double Bios went well. If we can have 8 a raid I believe that will go a long way insuring success in the future. I will always bring one.

I will always remember it's a PBAoE, not a targeted one.

Also gonna bring regular-like.

You know, I was suspicious of that possibility, given the new patches and all. I fled to Ouro as soon as we were done. Then I fled in general because I was late meeting friends for dinner.

Did it eat your reward like in the past?

All my red hami crashes in the past (i think i had 3 or 4 of them) were associated with attempt to exit zone through ouroboro portal. All crashes and l00t losses stopped, after I started exiting through zone gate.

I got the HO and then tried to escape via Ouro, but crashed before I got there.

I usually run away before I take the reward, since the reward box reappears if you haven't accepted yet. Someday that might bite me, but it's been reliable so far.

You know, I just thought about it. Next Weekend is Double XP weekend. My concern is this, Will enough people want to raid on Saturday?

I'd probably wait. All the new stuff in I16 means people will want to be leveling.

/Seconded.
It will be probably wise to wait.

Ok, The Raid for the 10th is cancelled and rescheduled for the 17th. This is in interest of Double XP weekend.

Gratz on the successful raid, Ice.

Do you have any tips outside of the posted guides?

We've won the Abyss a couple of times on Triumph, but it's been really hard to get the right mix of people together outside of planning WAY in advance.

EDIT: I sub'd to the thread, so i'll see if you answer the question. No need to PM unless you want.

Did you have any specific questions, Cath?

Raids are when you boil it down, very simple to execute. The folks who've gone before and had to figure a lot of the numbers and strategies did a great job in distilling things down.

For Red Side

- Pre-dogpile
1) ST Buffs
2) AoE Buffs
3) Bio Nuke or two

- Dogpile
Brutes keep the yellow mitos occupied and kill them simultaneously as the green team does the same with their mitos (except green focuses on one green - can't do that with yellows as even a single unoccupied yellow can kill a wave/raid). Brutes should pop an EoE on the way in.

- Yellow and Green make Blue
Or somesuch. Once the other mitos are down, kill the blues with ST ranged attacks.

- Meanwhile, at the Legion of Doom
Stone brutes with as much buffs as possible or MM pets keep Hami occupied.

Lather, rinse, repeat, repeat.

Like I said, simple, no?

Except that since a raid involves other people, fully expect half of them to not understand what it means to attack the same target the other half is attacking. Or to go melee on blue. Or to stand next to the brute taking hami aggro *or* have a brute standing next to half the group Taunt and grab hami aggro. Or when you announce, "Hey at 25 seconds left in the countdown, drop your bio nuke - wait for my signal" will inevitably mean that at least once in the raid the second you say, "OK, about to start the countdown," you'll see 5 people drop their bio nukes at that time.

Sure, there are a lot of details I'm glossing over, but those have been answered above or someone else will come along and clarify if you have any questions.

Raids are simple. Players often are moreso. That's what makes them unpredictable.

We are lucky on Justice in that we have so many many players that don't follow into the above definition of "moreso".Another plus is that the raids are run frequently enough for players to become accustommed to the encounter.None of the above would be achievable without the paragraph below.
Thanks Ice( and all the other Raid Leads) for leading! Another big 'Thank You' to all of the people that step up and lead. When I type 'lead" I refer to all of the leads in the whole raid not necassarily only the main Raid Lead. All of you do a wonderful(redside or blue) job no matter who is at the helm.<3

I sent Cath a PM last night, however to follow up. Experience makes things smoother. The more its ran the better people get as long as they are focused and listen to instructions. Misinterpretations happen but can be overcome.
