Bane Spider [Build up]? I rather have a self heal! You?

Dunno if it's just me, but I feel the [Build up] power isn't really worth much.
Already I feel I am placed rather high on the damage meter without it.
And I can't really notice to much diffrence in damage and hitting with it on.

Personally I would rather have a self heal power there or something else.
It could just be me thats wrong on it, but I really don't see a point of build up.

What do you think.. Is build up even good for anything? Do you use it much? Do you notice any diffrence with it on and off?

I knew I should have added " but now someone is most likely gonna say "if you want a heal, pick the one from Medicine" -.- "

I am not talking about what I want.. I was talking about what would be more useful. Those 10 secs doesn't do anything for me.
Can't be the only one that have it that way.

Anyway the problem with Aid Self is you need to pick another power from Medicine before you can pick it.
PS. who says I haven't picked it?


But guessing now since I say that, you are gonna say "oh, you just want people to agree with you?" or "can't handle a little opposition?"
? :P

I personally love Build Up on my bane. It's great for taking down bosses quickly or owning a large group of minions/lt's with Crowd Control.

Done a test where I attacked 50 Bane Spider Commandos of same level

25 Shatter attacks with build up
25 without

And while there is a diffrence, it isn't really by much imo.
But since people seem to like it, how about they add the extra damage and to hit permantly to bane Spiders, and then give another power instead?

There are these little self-heals they sell at vendors for 50 inf each, trying bringing them along with you - at level 40+ you can hold 20 of them!

I'd much rather bring along some greens (or, even better, teammates) for the rare occasion I get hit than have my +damage/+tohit power replaced by a self-heal that I don't really need in the first place. Self-heals don't make things die faster, more damage does. If you are having survivability issues on a VEAT - any VEAT so long as it's built well - then I'd say it's more than likely due to user error.

I'm all for improving bane survivability. Be it -def resistance or self heal.
But not by giving up build up, It's useful for gunbanes out there, aswell as normal banes.

I'd replace the web hold or one of the blasts, but that is just me. Or just add a single new power.

Alternatively, just give them a self heal and not have it replace anything, then everyone's happy.

Web Envelope is quite useful, but the the mace blasts are pretty crappy. I'd rather see them buffed to the point of usefulness than have them removed for something else, though.

I think he meant Web Cocoon, which is the tier 4 power of Bane Spider Training. Albeit being the final power of Banes, it's pretty unexciting and feels like it should've been in the primary set anyway.

The damage a well built bane can produce is astounding. IMO they don't need more surviability. Yes they are probably the least survivable VEAT, but for good reason.

That said, in a perfect world I'd drop web cocoon for reconstruction or dullpain in a heartbeat.

Heh, I find it funny people need Self Heal with a Bane so badly. Mine trashes mobs on +3/x8 no problem. I laugh all the way to the bank with her.

WebCoon is the 35 power for Banes, their 38 is Call Reinforcements.
