Costume Codes as Microtransactions

I applaud you guys rewarding people who can afford to travel and show up at your conventions. I however am a humble (poor) player who cannot afford to travel across the country to be there. I <could> however spot 5 or 10 dollars to purchase either individual costume codes, or some/all of them in a pack. I don't think it would be good as vet rewards as I've seen elsewhere because they would either have to be retro'd in or too far in the future for most players to earn.

Comments?

I have 3 of the codes so far and I would still pay to have the others. Somewhat of a completionist in this department at least.

Now if anybody feels like giving me a Freak Tank, KOA, or Praetorian Clockwork code I would be more than happy to accept.

I'm going to add to the people who think this is a good idea. My thought was 99c per single code or pack of 12 for $10 (volume discount, yeah?) With the number and variety of temp powers you could get that'd be a great way to increase microtransaction income.

I'd be up for it. $1 for a nice, shiney costume code? Sure.

And while we're at it, can we utilize some of those pieces for costume parts? >.>

I doubt it. Players' appearances consist of assembled costume parts, NPCs are basically just one big part.

I approve of this message. While I can get the point of making these con-exclusive -as a way for people who actually went to prove it in a neat, novel fashion- wasn't the reason behind scrapping the "Chosen One" and "Hall of Famer" badges because they'd be *too* exclusive? I realize a badge =/= costume code, but still.

Plus, putting these up for sale means more disposable income for current projects. I remember how the Wedding Pack's revenue let the Powers that Develop shave a month off the next Issue's release date.

Please not a Vet Reward! At the rate those things are going it will be YEARS until I get Costume Codes D:

Although, it would stop the flood of people running around as NPCs

Good idea regardless.

Yup that would have been my idea but sadly people didn't seem to like it for some bizarre reason...

Or start giving us NPC style parts in game, ah la Vanguard and Romans, although NOT with the silly price tag that VG parts have.

Seriously, I don't get the big deal over not giving us, say, PPD parts on Heroes (or Villains, not biased me) and the like. Nemesis parts is another one, Column and Council...hell, they gave us Arachnos kit (albeit somewhat limitedly).

Why is it such a huge issue?
