Asmodeans on Aion (Israphel)
My only qualm with this game is no one ever wants to team. I've received no invites and whenever I ask people they say no.
Not having an sk/exemp system probably is a factor.
I heard the game gets super grindy beyond twenty.
Can anyone confirm?
I need to talk with Joe or some who's playing Aion that's done a fair amount of ish over in Hyboria.
I am still juggling Conan and [somewhat] this. I need to see if Aion is worth adding to the fold, or dropping a second account from either of the aforementioned.
"I do it better than anybody you've ever seen do it.
The screams from the haters, it's got a nice ring to it.
I guess every super hero needs his theme music .."
At lvl 17ish the teaming picks up and more people start looking for teams.
After 20 the PvP start being the main point of the game so more people are gonna look for teams.
As for the grinding post 20.. well i'm only 19 yet so I'll tell you tonight or tomorrow lol
Not sure if you mentioned your class earlier in the thread, but what did you make, Hawk?
And, how are you liking it?
Does anyone have or know a site that explains the feat/skill/stigma trees?
I read long lists of possible class skills, but not how they're selected/earned/acquired. I suppose I am looking for something similar to Mids' for City and YellowGremlin on Conan, to get info on powers and abilities.

I made : a gladiator ( lvl 18 currently), a priest (lvl4), an assassin (lvl19) and a ranger (lvl10).. also had a lvl 16 sorcerer in closed beta.
I don't like the ranger, I love the assassin and the gladiator. The priest seems good for solo play since they can heal themself but I didn't play enough yet. I love seeing damage numbers and speed so the assassin fits my playstyle.
I really like the feel of the game. I have a sens of accomplishment, the quest are not too hard yet challenging. There is a story, which is a big plus compared to WoW where you have no idea why your there....
for a good site for skills with detail info of each I go to www.Aionarmory.com
there is nothing like Mids yet but all skills are purchased at the trainer except for the stigma who are drops. You can think of stigma like "stones" in diablo2. you have to find them and equipe them but they give you great bonus.
Many thanks for the link. I'll give it a thorough look while I'm bored here in the office.
From what I read on some site I cannot recall, I was planning to roll a Templar and Sorceror, primarily. Then, a Cleric at some point.
Scouts are normally pimp for PvP, so I'd likely get sucked into a Ranger, as well. Killing and kiting at range is always op.
And, be sure to let us (me?) know what that 20-25 and beyond grind is like.

As for PvP, all of the classes are suppose to be pretty well balanced so there's no fotm or class that is the best 1 vs 1. But, group PvP is where it's suppose to be at.
Anyways, any idea what server people are playing Elyos on?

Ariel is the only server I've seen mentioned for Elyos in this thread, but I don't think anyone has really made a solid decision yet.

Most of the quests in the game so far are designed better for solo play. Just the way it was set up you can usually get more progress done solo, All the collection quests will become harder in a group because you'll be fighting over the same clickables and then having to wait around on respawn timers. Then there is the multitude of go talk to this or that person quests where you get no benefit for teaming.
However, there are also quests designed for groups, where you have to fight mobs that are too powerful to fight solo. Each one in comparison to coh is somewhere in between the strength of an EB and the hp of an AV. You basically can't solo them unless yer a cleric or chanter, so at that point you end up having to (or getting to, whichever your mindset is) team cause you dont really have a choice if you want to advance. In the LFG channel pretty much the only thing you'l see if people looking to join groups for the quests designed for groups. If it can be solo'd and you wanna team you're SOL. PvP will also be very team oriented from what I've seen so far.
actually the LFG channel is mostly spam and general chat with no moderation... hard to make out someone Looking for a group with all the useless chat...( and gold spammer...)
Oh.. BTW Shin you forgot the "the" in the name of the legion it's Champion of the Night

.....If he named it "Champions of Night" instead of "Champions of the Night" at least it would say "Champions of Nigh" below all of our names, which looks much better than "Champions of the"
There still is spam in the LFG and General channels, but not nearly as bad as when the game first released. Of course there are always the same trolls saying stuff like WoW > Aion which turns into a bunch of spam feeding the trolls.
It's annoying and I've blocked many people from those channels so far.
On a side note I've done the last Altgard campaign Crushing the Conspiracy, I'm looking forward to some Abyss action soon.

Oh so awesome. They've acknowledged that it is a bug they are going to release a patch for but I don't expect to see it pre-1.6.x.x as it doesn't seem to be a priority to them for some reason.
Elyos - Ariel.
Talk to @ltn.frost for details.
It is kinda grindy past 20 from what I've seen, you need to repeat certain quests over and over if you wanna ride quest bonuses, but those quests involve you killing individual mobs.
I'm still having fun.
We've also hooked up with another legion on Israphel that is looking to team with us. Yuki has the details on that so you'd need to contact her. I'm looking into creating a shared channel between our legions.
Logging on now if anyone needs an invite 'Sekhmet'.
nice the more legion we can get together the easier it will be to find teams for quest and do PvP

Game is forcing you to do more exploring/fighting that overlaps all the various areas. Not a bad thing, except in terms of Teleportation costs.
I noticed the game as a lot of money sink to remove money from the game which should keep a good balance on market price. Teleportation, soul healer, potions, auction house fees...etc. only problem is that at the early game, money is kinda hard to keep and if you die a couple of time or click the wrong teleport (looking at you Kahlan) you can be broke pretty fast.

lol fine then i'll keep the daggers and swords i'll make to myself
oh btw I noticed you use the sword in your main hand and dagger in off hand.. switch them around and you will crit more often. It seems the game take the Main hand crit rate only even if both are displayed individually. Also when the main hand crit, the off hand also does.

I rolled an alt on Israphel, currently a lvl 10 Sorcerer. Would anyone be able to invite me to the legion?

Spiritwind or Neri (me)
Suterusu (ang)
Arliana (swup)
Ailyana (stray)
Azliet (hawk)
Ishendar (frost)
hopefully 1 of us would be on.
Misanthropist is the name, I should be on later tonight. Haven't been playing much lately, Modern Warfare 2 is taking up most my gaming time.

Is there a trial or a refer-a-friend thing I can use for Aion?
In the Arena of Logic, I fight unarmed.
Something like that, and apparently Swup and I have very similar names because I confused Shin when I first contacted him.
