BP! What's your poison, buddy? How's DDO treating ya?
SG Mate: Cien, what the hell is this Rookery thing?
RadDidIt: (interjecting) Dude. It's the Rookery.
SG Mate: Yeah, but what IS it?
RadDidIt: Silliness Incarnate.
Scotch, neat.
I snagged a retail copy for 7 bucks yesterday so I'm a "VIP" for a month. I ponied up for the points to buy the Drow race and the Favored Soul class and he's currently 3rd level (15th in their system). MUCH more solo friendly than it used to be, and there seem to be more people around willing to team now as well.

*Movement is heard from under the coffee table*
*A hand pokes out from the darkness*
Gin and Tonic for me please!
Toons i'm most seen playing: Hero : xanthicsnow, Pyro Quiver, Californian. Villain: Nox Carbine
*gives everyone big squishy boobie hugz!!!*
OOoooh.. this looks like a nice friendly place for a drink.
<-----wants a whip emote! (checks off list, thank you Going Rogue! *smooches*)
<-----wants female & customizable MM pets!
[Local] Free.Fall: Detra TF.. timed. last 30 minutes with handcuffs on..no one has collected the badge yet..
*pours a couple of fingers of scotch and mixes a gin and tonic and slings them on their way*
There ya go. And yes Miss Detra, it surely is a friendly place. Almost Cheerful. Hmm, that could be a good name for it...
I haven't played all that much since coming back, BP. Way to many other games fighting for my attention this month. What server did you pick?
SG Mate: Cien, what the hell is this Rookery thing?
RadDidIt: (interjecting) Dude. It's the Rookery.
SG Mate: Yeah, but what IS it?
RadDidIt: Silliness Incarnate.
Worst case for me this month is if I16 drops on the 22nd... they day Aion goes live. Thankfully I'll get my character creation and selection done on the 18th and start playing on the 20th.
I rolled up on the Cannith server for DDO. Currently I have just the 1 character, and since after my free month I'll be down to only 2 character slots (F2P) I probably won't do much with the rest.

/e flies in and sits on a hangmans gallows, hunches shoulders up and drops head down in a failed attempt to imitate a vulture.
Imma vulture....gimme a whiskey and a cheeeburger.
/e looks at wikipedia entry to double check what vultures eat.
Ew.
Lucky you BP, I poked at the webpage a couple of times last night and once it was actually ded. May try later today if it is still up. Or find the my old copy from somewhere.
I suspect they made the starter stuff solo friendly but I hear once you are past a few levels this is no longer the case.
/e pulls out a harmonica and begins a long slow drag across it before hocking one into a brass spittoon at the end of the bar.
Anyone want me to play some Hugo Montenegro?
Oh and Good Morning all.
/e hands out beef jerky to everyone.

Hey there Fedor and Rooky. Whattaya have?
It's 4 slots per server isn't it? That's what I have on Argonessen at least... Or maybe that's because I unlocked them the hard way before... Dunno. I'll poke into Cannith later on. And yeah, the first 4 levels there are plenty of dungeons you can do solo, but after that it becomes thin to non existent. A lot of the long quest chains are really good and interesting though, more so than the one off solo dungeons. Obviously they take longer to do, but you can split them up, doing a few quests each night.
SG Mate: Cien, what the hell is this Rookery thing?
RadDidIt: (interjecting) Dude. It's the Rookery.
SG Mate: Yeah, but what IS it?
RadDidIt: Silliness Incarnate.
*Considers the possibilities of being his own country after Bpp's greeting.*
Hmmm... I could have territorial waters in the bath tub... and a submarine!
Hi Rooky
*Looks at the beef jerky, which is actually bigger than him by at least double.*
That's going to take a lot of chewing.
A donut for me Neko, heavy on the chocolate frosting.
Heroes : Angrem (50 Stone tank), Exo Inferis (50 Fire blaster), Exo Proteus (50 ill/emp), IceVengance (50 cold defender)
Villains : AtomBomb (50 Rad/Kin corruptor), Aleks (50 SS/Inv brute), StoneLethal (50 EM/Stone brute), Davroz (50 Bots/Dark mastermind)
/e gnaws some of the jerky into lil jerky bites.
There ya go Fedor. :P
Also did you see the entry for what us vultures eat? Nasty.
I heard it was two but not sure.
I remember the mission where you have to go shakedown the craftsman who hasnt paid his tab and he sic's a ironforged dog on you. That darned dog was so mean.

:floats down from her rafter beam...
"Morning, coffee please? Gotta do this list (pulls out to do list that hits the floor) before tonight. Leaving for NY about 3am tomorrow...and I got the shift to listen for our ride to arrive. And I need to get both hubby and I white shirts for the sweet sixteen party...gaaaaaah!"
Goes quietly mad.

*hands out the donut and coffee*
Shall we gather on the Cannith server then? One is as good as the next, really. I'll remake my ranger/rogue character, a personal favorite of mine.

*Noms on the donut happily.*
White shirts for a sweet sixteen Demon? Why white specifically? You are nto doing one of those awful, billion dollar parties that will end up on MTV are you?

I only plan to play the game casually myself, BP. I've got Aion and Fallen Earth to add to my already large stable of games as it is. But there has been some Rookery. interest in giving DDO a try, so I thought it would be nice if we all gathered onto one server. It makes teaming a lot easier if there are people there that you know already, and maybe even if there's interest we can set aside a few hours one night for a regular-ish team. The best way to experience the game, in my opinion, is with a regular group. Much like with a table top D&D game.
