Why can't my Thugs/Poison take down Nosferatu?
Yeah, once he started killing my pets, the whole summon/upgrade cycle wasn't letting me get him below half health. Obviously using Gang War as a panic button was also... less than ideal.
Hmm. I guess if I keep the bruiser at range he can still Hurl. Or I could try stacking Knockout Blow with Paralytic Venom.

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.
There might be different versions of him. Ouroboros wasn't around in the Olden Days and maybe the Council version of him is different.

Issue 16 made me feel like this.
Warning: This poster likes to play Devil's Advocate.
If memory serves, Nosferatu has:
- Reconstruction (click heal)
- Dull Pain (click heal, +maxhp)
- Siphon Life or Life Drain (single target dmg/heal)
I think he has Fast Healing (+regen passive), too.
That's just for survivability, that's not mentioning his AoEs (Chill of the Night, Dark Consumption, Tenebrous Tentacles) that will chew up your pets in short order. He is one extremely nasty EB/AV.
Weaken (and some purple insps for the Bruiser) will wreck his accuracy, and what he can't hit he can't heal from. Envenom will floor his regen.
I'd alternate Weaken and Envenom, and use Alkaloid to keep the bruiser alive as long as possible. After all while he's trying to kill him he's leaving you and the other pets alone. Bring blues if you don't have stamina (or even if you do) chaining those 3 powers will tire you out fast.
I had less trouble with Nosferatu on my thugs/poison (admittedly at 50 exemped to 39, and Noxious Gas makes a great opener for any EB fight) than I did with either my 39 brute or my exemped from 50 scrapper - but then he is notoriously deadly against melee characters.
I thought it was Soul Drain he has and not Dark Consumption. It looks identical to a Dark Melee's version of it, and he seems to hit a LOT harder after he uses it.

It's Dark Consumption, and it doesn't buff his damage. (but it does scale 1 NE damage). He's also got AoE Life Drain, Siphon Life, Reconstruction, and Dull Pain. And Chill of the Night is autohit, so no amount of tohit debuff or defense buff will stop it from damaging you.
Keep out of melee range, and he can't hit you with Chill of the Night, Siphon Life, Dark Consumption, or his melee attacks.

I've been able to beat him as an EB on two def-based scrappers soloing (one w/o a self-heal), and with an Ill/Rad with near-perma PA. In one of my proudest moments in-game, I duo'd him as an AV with the Ill/Rad and a Fire/Dev blaster. It was a long fight and I think he missed consecutively with two self-heals near the end.
I've also been on teams that haven't been able to finish the TF on heroic because he was unbeatable as an AV for the teams (or at least the players behind the toons). Once, in the ultimate mission of the TF a teamwipe didn't matter as Nosferatu-as-pet finished the other AVs for us...
Seriously. I'm level 33, frankenslotted, trying to take him down in Mender Lazarus' SF on difficulty ONE. What am I doing wrong?
