Adventures in Backwards Marketeering
For 60M you can get a nice purple pet damage IO...
total kick to the gut
This is like having Ra's Al Ghul show up at your birthday party.
I'm on a scrapper.... besides, I don't give a damn about purples or sets even. I'm just fine with my common IOs.
y'know 10 of those LCs are listed for 2 billion each.
Dammit! I lost the PK Lottery....I was certain he was gonna go for a different item.
Wait, there was a lottery? Does that mean I win?
Holy moley it's been a long time since I looked at the bids and selling of luck charms. Over 7000 bids? Really? When it's so easy to just run pretty any mission in AE and then roll for the lowest tier arcane salvage till you get what you need?
I'm guessing alot of those are bids from hopeful flippers.
I'm Tealeaf, and I approve of this message.

So who are the three smartalecks with Luck Charms listed for 1,999,999,999 ?
Go on, you can tell Uncle Fulmens.
Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.
So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.
"Whoah..... 40K I can understand, that's a nice round number.... but the bulk of buyers wanting to buy them for exactly 35,555 influence? I smell something fishy here!"
I must confess that is a number that I use to purchase a lot of salvage.
So, I figured, "what the hay, let's go after the big fish in the pond, why not?" My target? The infamous....
So, what will I do with this most well known of common salvage mishaps? Well, I've decided to blow all my money away (reasonably) buying up all the stock I can and selling them for 1 influence each, thus letting the people that want to buy them, buy them for cheaper than what people are trying to sell them for!
I will once again become....
Anyways, so let's take a look at the Before screenshot, both of my influence store and the stock of Luck Charms:
Well, doing my incremental purchases, let's see what we've got for sale:
Luck Charms Bought For:
Let's see how high I can go before I run out of money, shall I?
So, in the end, it looks like the hugest bulk of them were being sold for 150K... interesting. If you chart this, I think you'd see a normal bell curve, just looking at the numbers.
Well, let's see what people want to BUY them for!
So I put them all up for sale for 1 influence each, and here's the result:
Sold For:
Any of you want to fess up, you eeeeebil marketeers you?
Anyways, so I've done what I can, and here is the final result, call it the After picture:
So that's the end of my Adventures in Backwards Marketeering, now I'm just a poor bloke just like everyone else, and man does it feel GOOD!
