If its Thursday, its Fight Night on Infinity!

After the great turn-out for last week, I think we will do the same thing this week. A FFA to start off with, then some more kickball. If we have more than the 8 person limit per team, we will do 3 teams for added carnage, unless Mighty Isis has come up with another plan for the night.

We will start the festivities at 10pm EST in Pocket D this Thursday (Sept 10th).

Can't wait to get in there and mix it up with everyone again. I'll be trying to show up every week.

I am perfectly happy with running kickball every Thursday, unless everyone wants different events each week. The way I see it, each week of kickball is never like the previous, and this gives people new to PvP a chance to come in and have a good time.

Pretty sure you can only have more than 8 with SG battles.

I like to kickballs...would be nice to see some 2v2 or 3v3 too though.

On a side note, it seems a good percentage of the old-school PvP Infinity crowd is currently going through another wave of drifting to other servers. Any chance you can spice up the event with some recipes/enhancements for our event like Fight Nights on other servers Isis?

Also, arena events I agree are fun, but new players typically hit the zones first...it may be worth trying to make events happen in the zone so new players don't feel they are completely empty all the time. I know, I know...may step on badgers toes, but when the zones seem active, it's a great way to advertise to them there to check out the thursday night post here and check out arena PvP. Anyways, I hope to be there thursday!

Last week was great fun. It was nice to see one of the MMs (GO CLONE GRANT!) get the most kills on one of the fights compared to all the other ATs.

I IOed out 3 toons, 1 MM, 1Dom, 1 troller, all for annoyance so PICK ME! Hopefully they will get a little play time for kickball but playing a stalker is so much more fun. I also finally upgraded my stalker. Took out all his L33 IOs (33 of them). I dont know if that will make much of a difference but It kept me busy shopping and crafting for hours. I'm also bored at work so I'm wasting time by posting useless info.

And for Johnny, I'll give out a price for MVP. This way it's not just about who got the most kills. I got a regen tissue +regen.
So on all the kick ball games, after every game, send me a tell @eeekk and vote for an MVP from your team. I'll tally up the scores after the last match and give out a +reg recipe. It's OK to vote for me too. If I win it, I guess it can be like the Megaball and the prize just keeps getting bigger. I'll just have to farm more. That's right I said the F word.

Stoney or anyone else should remind me to bring the recipe for the prize cause I'm pretty sure I will forget all about it by the time I hit the post button.

This Thursday, we're venturing to a place you probably haven't been in quite a while: Sirens Call! Grab your heroes and villains and we'll battle it out! If you have pvp spec'd heroes and villains, have them standing by in SC so you can quickly switch characters to balance the sides (its no fun to have 10 heroes and 2 villains, or vice versa).

If you're new to PvP and want to try out your characters, this is the *perfect* event for you. Between the zones and the arena, zones are much more forgiving of noobish behavior. And you'll get to watch some of the best PvP'ers on Infinity and learn from them.

Tomorrow night is our Sirens Call Brawl. I'll be getting the villains started with my corrupter "Thunder Siren" and Stoney will be shepherding the heroes on his blaster (I can't remember the name).

I'm gonna have to see whats up with my builds 'cause I dont think I kept Siren's Call in mind when spec'n. I'll see you fellas there.

Ever since the devs were great enough and found a way to make the zones empty most of the time, I haven't bothered to consider low level builds either. But i'll be there even on a wack build if I have to. Just to give you blood thirsty killer more targets.

Outta curiosity, a while down the line, are you guys considering doing level 4 PvP again, or is this strictly a zone/higher level/srs bsns PvP event kinda night?

This is more along the lines of zone/kickball/whatever sounds fun. I'm all for lvl 4 FFAs, and stuff like that as long as its not small team based (ie: 2v2 and the like). Those kind of events take alot of planning and organization so are geared more towards PVPEC events.

I am not saying "no" to those kinds of events, just not to expect them every week. More like maybe a once a month thing.

I think we should do L4 PvP in Champion or any other low pop server. That server can be an Infinity extention for L4 PvP =) I think a lot of us are out of character slots in Infinity to keep natural L4s.

We have access to power up to level 35 don't we? Servers are down and haven't been in Warburg and SC in a good while.

Thanks for organizing this event. I was never much a fan of Siren's Call but its the most interesting experiencing that I've had there. Killing on a Stalker was WAY easier than in it is at Recluse. It went both ways accordingly and many people had no problem switching to help balance the competition.

I needed a respec anyways and decided to drop Fitness in the early levels until 41+. I figured Grant Invis would help teammates and Phase to help myself out of tight situations. My endurance held up okay but at clutch times when a kill was getting away I couldnt finish em off before my endurance was shot in many situations. Live and learn.

Anyways, look forward to next week fellas.

I hope the event went well last night. I apologize for being a no-show. I had some unexpected stuff in RL happen and it precluded me from attending. I'm crossing my fingers that nothing will get in the way next week....
