That's a pretty limited way to view it Bay. You don't honestly believe that someone like GSP or Machida or Mousasi would be easy to beat in a fight outside the cage do you? It's as close to a street fight as anything there is this side of Vale Tudo.
As for them not being true martial arts, why? Because they skip all the budo stuff? Fine, call them combat arts. The truth is they are as effective as it gets.

Street fights have guns. Put 10 guys in a closed off city block, each with a glock and only the clip already loaded. Last one standing wins his freedom.

No pressure points? The reason noone uses pressure points is that they don't work. There is no rule against using them (aside from the eyes and groin obviously). What MMA has done is fantastic, it has given a way to weed out the grick that just is not effective and get to the root of what works consistently.

Bay I will say exactly to that what the Gracies said 16 years ago. If you think it works, prove it. And the consistent answer has always been abject failure. Way to many tma types run around talking about pressure points and deadly this and that, but when push comes to shove they never prove any of it works. You just have to take their word for it.

You do know that people get into plenty of fights where noone gets shot or stabbed. In fact MOST fights involve noone getting shot or stabbed. Relying on a weapon is a good way to insure that you spend as much time in jail and court as humanly possible when dealing with a minor situation.

Who? What MMA bullies specifically? I hear a thousand of these stories and somehow they are magically nameless and noone ever filmed it happening.
I see some instructional dvds on pressure points by a Robert Moran.
As for the Gracies refusing challenges, why not step up now? A few wins, make some big noise in the UFC, get money and students? Like I said, pressure point attacks are perfectly legal under unified rules.

In my forays into no-holds barred fighting and MMA throughout New England, they were not and I had been disqualified for utilizing such maneuvers. I'm not interested in participating or indulging in MMA or sports martial arts any longer. I spent several difficult years trying to make a career out of martial arts between stuntwork, tournaments, and bouts. Quite frankly, it wasn't an experience I felt proud of. When you boil it down, all I was doing was hurting other people physically for profit and the entertainment of others. And to see someone like Lesnar carry on after winning? No mas, senor. No mas.

I will agree on that point Bay. Lesnar's little display was wrong and low. I much prefer fighters that carry themselves with dignity and class. Like the real Fedor or a Lyoto Machida.
And yeah Fuzzy Tiger, I did hear that as well. Chuck will be cutting a rug on the next one.
