Market autosearch
The only thing I can think of that you may be talking about is how everything that can be purchased is automatically populated to the right when you access the market, prior to submitting your query.
If that's what you're talking, then no.
If this is not what you're talking about, refer to the image above.
"I do it better than anybody you've ever seen do it.
The screams from the haters, it's got a nice ring to it.
I guess every super hero needs his theme music .."
When you load the market and it does the crazy populating on the right, there's a lot of network traffic. Probably because the default is "bidding items" instead of "All". If you can try to load the market and quickly click on something like "Salvage" you might get better results. If you can manage that the first time you log on, then it will go to that default every time you click on a Went-person until you shut the game off;even if you log onto another character, you still get the same Wents defaults (I get caught by this, sometimes, when I can't figure out why it's not showing any Ruins and I'm looking at level 50-50.)
Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.
So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.
That was what I was looking for, thanks. Guess I just need to upgrade my ram again. Clicking on anything isn't an option in my situation as the window doesn't pop up until my client has already decided it's going to mapserv me.
It may be worthwhile to go to the tech help forums and post a CoH Helper and HijackThis log. A lot of times with those tools people can help you figure out more what's wrong with your computer (throwing more RAM/better video card doesn't solve all problems).
Note: If you've already done this, disregard because I'm not going to search through your past posts just to see.
well I already ran a few disk utilities, hijackthis and doubled my ram and upgrades my video card (impulsive). This seems to have taken it to a reasonable level. Getting 1/8 as many market-based mapserv events.
CoH definitely likes lots of RAM. On my old PC I got a very noticeable improvement going from 1 GB to 2 GB. If you aren't doing anything important in the background you might try rebooting before you run CoH to be sure you have as much CPU power and RAM open as possible.
Cascade, level 50 Blaster (NRG/NRG since before it was cool)
Mechmeister, level 50 Bots / Traps MM
FAR too many non-50 alts to name

The Scavenger Hunt: 187076
The Instant Lair Delivery Service: 206636

2gb RAM is a BIG help. (I started in EU beta with 256KB. Imagine that.)
Freeing up the available ram you DO have before you start the game is also a big help.
Rebooting your PC is an option, but there are faster ways.
Before booting up CoX, close all unnecessary background programs. (also those things in your task tray down to the right --> by the clock)
If you are VERY low on RAM, try turning off any unnecessary services.
http://www.blackviper.com is very helpful with killing bloat.
Next step is a little program to force as much to your swap file as possible, freeing up real RAM for the game.
Here is a good example:
http://analogx.com/contents/download...m/Freeware.htm
After a session of using umpteen different programs for this n that, I shut them all down and run MaxMEM 2 or 3 times.
With 2GB ram I wind up with 85% free (YMMV). The game loves all that free ram.
It is MUCH faster than rebooting your PC. Hope that helps

Is there any way to turn off the autosearch function of the market window? After a long day of running my computer with productivity applications I tend to log into CoX and check the market, which usually becomes a game of "will I mapserv this time?" After a lot of thought and asking questions to knowledgable folks I came to the conclusion that my problem was the simultaneous activation of the market interface and the auto-search taxing my system too much. I mean the people spamming pbaoe's, emotes and aoe buff toggles aren't helping, but this is the crux of the issue for me.
