Lastly, every SG has a different view on expanding. Some constantly seek new members, some like to keep it small, some are themed (Eg. Coven of Witches, Pocket Protectors), etc. This type of 'solution' is not suitable for all SGs. I think SGs are quite able to decide for themselves how they'd like to handle other people joining.
So I have read your previous threads, and I won't be participating because I disagree with this premise. But I wish you luck just the same.

Maybe the issue here is that there's more than a few small SGs (ie less than 8 people) who would love to participate and represent their own SG, but not at the expense of having to allow more people in the group, or having to place alts in other groups they don't play with much. There's tons of legitimate reasons for limiting enrollment in a group. They can be plenty active teaming with those outside their group. They don't need someone from a quote-unquote large SG coming in to "save everyone" from the bordedom they've inflicted on themselves by not being part of some other large SG, as if what they've chosen to do is somehow the wrong way to play.
Your event, your rules. That's fine. Just don't expect a lot of participation when you go out of your way to alienate everyone that doesn't see things your way about how SGs and coalitions should work.
Loose --> not tight.
Lose --> Did not win, misplace, cannot find, subtract.
One extra 'o' makes a big difference.
OK we need to get back to the main point; Felecia wants to give away mad loot. Being a helper monkey, I'll help her out and take it. But since I'm a selfish ******* that doesn't like peole, all my toons are in my SG. (All 3 account's worth.) So I'm at a bit of an impasse here.
Oh and I'm such a SG leader control freak that once a SG member falls in rank, I don't just kick them, I take their stuff, give to a lvl 1 newbie, and delete them. Just think what would happen if I let someone join another SG.- the horror.

Cherry i am CANADIAN, Kylie Manogue (George Canyon on the other hand.....hmmmm) is alright, and in the universe known as "RL" i do love my 6 inch spiked leather pink thigh highs 
This event is soloable but best in teams.
As for the rules if you don't like them, well feel free to host your own events, i am sure many people would love to see a Pug event similar to this one.
Oh i forgot to mention Silas, you will find Americans drop the u from most words such as Colour (Color) and Honour (Honor). They pronounce names of cities the same way - Dubois, NY is pronounced Dew Boys instead of Dew-bwa
I have been thinking about what many of you have said, so i have included an event that i hope satisfies most of you. You are right - it is not fair to force people to work together and get into each others sg. I saw lots of events for individuals and none for large sg's which is why i made this event the way it is. In the 2nd yr anniversary thread i am about to post there will be an ae challenge for individuals, friends, and Villz
BTW: if you would simply send me a curteous message such as...."Fel could you please add .....event.....i think it would be more fair to everyone", then i would not be so snarky and would probably honour your request.
