Hey there, I started new Scrapper in Freedom. Could you tell me some details for power pools set?

I'm level 14 though. I picked out fitness and speed.
though... idk what to do.

Hope you give me full set so I can pick it out once in a while till I hit max cap level. :3

Thanks guys.

Well, you have a good start w/ Fitness and Speed. Alot of Regen heals are recharge based, you'll need all the recharge you can get.

Other than that, alot of people will choose to pick up the Fighting pool. They usually take Boxing, Tough and Weave. Tough will give you smashing and lethal resistance (the 2 most common types of damage in the game) and couple that with resiliance in your regen secondary. Now you won't be at huge levels of resistance, but every hit point you don't have to regen is better for you. Weave, as well as other +Def powers will help you avoid attacks. The idea here is to start stacking alot of small +def powers together to create some defense to attacks. Doing this, and using the IO system will help you achieve a pretty good defensive package.

Some of the most common power pool picks out there for a regen character is

Leaping -Combat jumping and Super Jump (Combat Jumping is one of those stacking small defensive powers)

Fitness-Hurdle(or Swift), Health (more regen), and Stamina(more endurance)

Fighting-Boxing, Tough, Weave(for reasons stated above)

Speed- Hasten(more recharge!!)

Everything said above is pretty much the recommended default pools to choose if you are min/maxing your MA/Regen. A variant is to choose Super Speed instead of Super Jump to create a stealth-viable scrapper (adding a Stealth IO to get closer to the stealth cap). You can deviate from these pools, but that means you are going for a more concept build, which is perfectly viable if you want to go in that direction.

I'd say the same as above(fitness, speed, leaping, fighting) for a leveling build but I'd change it when you hit 50 if you're going to IO it out. For a high rech build I'd drop the fitness pool altogether and pick up the stealth pool to slot lotg +rech's. Extra recharge is a /Regens best friend IMO.

Make sure that you do Stephanie Peeble's arc in Striga before you hit lvl 26. When you complete that arc you get a renewable temp power called the Wedding Band. It gives resistance but unlike Tough from the fighting pool gives resist to all (but psi, I think) instead of only smashing/ lethal. And the resists from Wedding Band are greater than Tough's. If you miss Stephanie's arc, you can do it thru Ouroborus after you hit 26.

Here's an MA/Regen leveling build I made. It's a bit rough in the early levels (re: pre-18) because you've only got Storm Kick and Crane Kick to kick faces in with, but once you get CAK, it should get much nicer. It's got nice sustainable endurance, decent damage and should be pretty survivable. Anyone who has seen my other */regen builds will probably notice that I've eschewed +def in this build for +res(s/l). With the tiny amounts of +def possible, I figured that it wouldn't really contribute much so I simply elected for more QoL and +res powers.

I'd take Thunder Kick early and respec out of it later. Only having 2 attacks for that long really sucks. Could probably push Hasten off on the early build for another attack, and then respec into Umbral's build later when you have more attacks available.

Solid advice on the power pools from everyone here though. I skipped Stamina and Hasten on my Claws/Regen, but that's on his finished IO build. Martial Arts will get more mileage out of Stamina than Claws, so I suggest you pick it up until you start IOing. Hasten is always useful, I just didn't have room for it, so I had to drop it.

Edit to explain why Claws benefits less from Stamina: Claws has an endurance discount as part of the set's balance, MA will burn more end over time than Claws will every time. As a result, Claws/Regen can skip Stamina more easily than MA without running into problems. My main doesn't have Stamina and only runs into endurance problems when fighting Carnies and Sappers.

Wedding band is res to all. Even psi. And while you are in striga, try to get on a moonfire TF and then finish up the hunt for wolf and vampire defeat badges. They are needed for the atlas medallion. An accolade that gives you a permanent +5 max end increase.
