Do you Like Noob's,New Players and Newbie's
I love playing with new people.
They're like blank slates so you can help them on the road to becoming a well-playing member of the community or help them on the road to becoming one of 'those guys' that you want to avoid.
Unless someone asks me directly though, I usually don't tell them specifically how to play. It's their $15/month so they're free to level/pvp/make builds how they want. But I also like teaching through example and the 15th time the new person's <Archtype> dies because they didn't let the Tank get aggro they usually learn to hold back aggro has been gathered, etc.
I get a kick out of playing with new people. Showing them around. Teaching them the tools they might immediately need.
Though i have to admit, i need to be in the mood to team up with a new person or persons.
When I can play, which is usually 2 AM in the morning or so for stateside... Id be more than happy to team with ANYBODY. If I can find a new person online addicted to the game at that time Id be more than happy to help them learn the game a little.
I tell them where they would want to concentrate on leveling and try to stress the importance of enhancement slotting. I HATE explaining the enhancement diversification mechanic to new people though, the powerpool mechanic to select travel powers, and if they are playing a powerset I havent actually touched before, like super reflexes or claws, Id try to deflect them to someone who has more experience with them or ask the global channels.
i.e...
JFA: Blinding Aura: Is agility worth taking on a SR scrapper/brute/stalker?
But... if its something about empathy, I'd feel sorry for them because I can actually lecture for hours. =/
tl;dr
love new people, love teammates, love helping out the learning curve.

When you are ready grasshopper, you will not need the tank no matter what you are playing.
If they ask for help, I always give it. For builds, I usually try and steer people in the right direction, but in the end, if they are having fun, I guess that is all that matters. If it is a raid or something, I try and point them in the right direction if they don't seem to understand what is going on.
I've met a lot of good people that way, some of them who are probably better players than I am now.

I try and help new players all the time. For some reason i always get them on a team, but thats because i start pugs all the time. But everyone at one point needed help (i know i did) so i try and give it back. Ive been know to throw out money to.
But i guess mood does take effect to, cause ive been anoyed (not showing it) when i get mad tells in a bad spot, like last mission of STF or RSF or in the middle of RV surrounded by stalkers and all of a sudden get like 20 tells at once.

I'm sure this is a paraphrase of several posts so far, but here's my 0.02. I'm not trying to sneakily call anyone out, here:
I find long-time players who cling to rigid play styles far, far more annoying than new players who simply don't understand how things work out of sheer inexperience. People lording their vet badges or the fact they were in the CoH beta as some kind of symbol of their deeper understanding of or special entitlement to the game irritate me far, far more than a dozen blind invites to AE farms ever could. New players will always be able to overcome inexperience, but plain obliviousness in more veteran player is more likely to linger. Offending the delicate sensibilities of players because you don't understand the etiquette and culture of the game or server is far more tolerable than the small number of insufferable veteran twits with their inflated sense of entitlement. And don't even get me started about the difference in new/old players and starting and perpetuating ******** drama. Not many new players on trial accounts baiting people with accusations of elitism or power trips over channel migrations, now are there?

I'm always willing to give a new player the Hellsminion meet-and-greet 'round the world special! And if they need some influence, I've got plenty of that too

Hit the nail on the head Baalat, this is but a big bowling league. Some older players are friendlier than others. Some new players are more annoying than others. But all of their patronage keeps the bowling alleys open as a whole... Drama tends to make me not want to play with certain folks and keep to myself, but I'll try to team with others more often... all I can promise.

As for me, I always try to help out new players either by giving them influence/infamy, answering questions, giving them a tour, helping them cross zones they could easily be killed in. Players keep this game going, and new ones should never be discouraged.

I pretty much play the game by one rule - don't be a dick. I don't mind helping new players at all because all of us were noobs at one point. If I offer help to someone and they respond very negatively it will color my perception of that individual, not new players as a whole.

I've probably unloaded tens upon tens or millions of recipes, enhancements and salvage on lowbies with few or no vet badges in AP over the years. Some of hte most fun I've had playing in a while was tanking an AE "boss farm" I got blind invited to. The team was 7 toons under level 10, all apparantly played by new folks and my well-nigh ancient level 50 tank. It was some of the most challenging PvE I've done in in a long time. I guess lowbie pugs are CoX's version of handicapping in golf...or something. sports analogies aren't my thing.
Also: I'm flattered, y'all.

I love new players. When I find the few that seem to be honestly trying, I help them out as much as I can. I don't have unlimited resources but I'll give them the best answers I have.

We were all bright-eyed, fresh-faced, and new to this game at some point. And someone else either showed us the ropes, or we stumbled across them ourselves.

I'd rather play with completely wet behind the ears, don't have a clue what they're doing, but genuinely fun and nice people than hardcore, twinked out, jerks any day of the week.
Plus with the newbs, I get to strut my stuff. :P

This topic reminds me of something I used to do. I'd take Toxa (at level 50) to the Hollows and just run around looking for players in trouble - a drive-by healing or rez, or a courtesy EMP bomb & debuffs to neuter a large spawn, allowing lower-level characters to roll over +5 enemies. Sometimes I'd take a group of players on a run through the zone - they'd level up pretty fast and have fun obliterating purple mobs.
I spent a lot of time doing stuff like that. This is primarily why, after 5 years, most of my characters are still pretty much broke and I don't really have any shiny inventions.
But yeah I guess I like newbies. It's nice to help people, and it's nice to have someone help you.

The Thing that been Bugging me are lvl 50 AE Noobs coming out of AE,it's sad to see a lvl 50 who don't no where the tailor is or how to get an Aura and Cape.I been finding my self kind of tick lately with the AE Noobs.I am trying not to get mad at them but i can't help it,A new player should no all about these thing by the time they reach 50.I no there always something to learn in this game, but when a 50 that doen't no the basic,it's get to be a pain in the butt.I am trying my best to help them out but time like this it's get hard to and i am getting sick of seeing
all these noob 50 join tf,killing everyone on there team because they can't play there toon right.

Ratz I will remind you that you, who have played this game longer then i have, didn't know there was a tailor in pocket D. By your argument you should, so have some patience and be polite and educate them. Also I have seen you on controllers and defenders lvl'd through content and you had trouble with playing them well, so even vets can't play some of their toons. It's doom for anyone who actually expects my tank to be a tank or for me to ever keep up and not get lost, just sayin.
Overall rather than complain help them and be patient.

And yes, I try to help out inexperienced players as long as they ask for it. I don't dole out advice anymore unless people ask for it, I've learned all too often (in RL and in game) that if you correct someone who is doing something wrong, you're more likely to offend them than anything else. My only problem with my policy is that sometimes people won't ask for advice, even if they want it.
