I have a challenge

I've been trying to come up with a costume for an armoured character using only the Tech-banded pieces, since they are not seen that often.

after trying I relaize WHY they are not seen that often, they are very hard to work with since there is no pattern for them and all the pieces don't match up well.

my challenge is this. Make the tech banded set look nice using the colours black/bright blue/white.

I have all the booster packs + vet rewards up to shoulder capes

I've always been fond of the Sharp pattern. Here's ... well, a boatload of versions. The only differences between a couple are the jewel or ring on the chest. Otherwise, just to show off the three color bits. Sorry it's big (this is 40% of original size lol)

My take on it.

What power types are you looking to use?

tech banded plus whatever else you want, but the ALL the tech banded pieces must be used. Pattern, helmets, combat aura all up to you

Got to agree with ya Volt. I tried using Tech band myself but couldn't come up with something that i liked. Although i think Clobber is on to something with his submission.

OK - I took a stab at this and it was definitely not an easy task given the parameters. I found the more I tried to do, the less I liked the results. So I took a less is more approach and I found it more to my liking.

I went with Tech Banded as directed, but I changed the torso to Robotic Arm 2/Tech. So I think I still stayed within the rules.

All colors are intact. The natural silver of the Tech Banded pieces were enough for me instead of adding "white" pattern. When I tried, it started loosing it's cohesivenes. I used the Thorn pattern on the chest because I like vibe it gives resembling a "V" and it tapers into the belt area nicely.

I provided several color variations on the mask lenses for your consideration. I did break the rules by adding yellow because I thought it worked really well.

Anyway - here is my attempt at it...

You know the reason no one uses Tech Banded?

Not trying to be mean here, but it's true. I'm sure most of you would agree with me.

here's the best I could come up with.

Limiting the colors to black/blue and white is also another big problem. There's no room for creativity when you have to use the same colors on the same pattern with the same pieces. I just don't see any point in it.

I don't know about none of these looking good. I really like Starwind's version (except the boot fin thingie). Reminds me of Scorpius from Farscape.

Whatever became of this request?
