New Emote Selection Menu

I went to use the Emote Selection Menu that is next to your chat bar and discovered that they updated it. It still doesn't have the emotes from the booster packs (probably because not everyone buys those). But it had added new emotes that you had to have on a cheat sheet or remember.

They also separated into different categories than they did before.

Nice QOL change!

It looks like they cut out some of them.

Now I'm having to remember all the sit emotes properly.

Sam: "My mind is a swirling miasma of scintillating thoughts and turgid ideas."
Max: "Me too."

If memory serves, this came out of a player request to BAB to please re-organize them... the players gave BAB a (supposedly) comprehensive list of all the emotes (including the ones NOT on the menu but that you could do if you knew them) and then the menu got updated.

I didn't do a comprehensive check to see if any 'sit' emotes were cut, but I did find them listed under Interact>Environment and there is a list of 'sit' emotes.

Awesome! I love things like this! On another note, did they give MM pets their speech bubbles back?

I'd post that in bugs, might get fixed.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

You can still use the keyboard, it's just that many emotes have been moved and require a different keyboard combination to activate.

I like this. I in fact think the new structure is opening it up for more emotes (with luck) in the future, as we're a bit overdue for genralised emotes that aren't attached to costume packs. And I didn't expect to see the Booster Pack emotes added as not everyone would have them; but by the same token, I wouldn't mind seeing if the menu can support distingushing if the player in question has a given Booster or not.

Otherwise, a good addition.

Yes'm I remember this too - it was just post-i15 release and someone mentioned it in the feedback.

BaBs saw it and said if you can get me a comprehensive, up-to-date list I'll make it happen.

List was provided, and I've been monitoring ever since to see if BaBs would follow through.

Of course, he did.

I didn't notice the change until recently (I only really type emotes in) and when i found it i thought "What did they do to my emote list?!"

I still get lost looking for the sit emotes etc but on the plus side it's all nicely categorized now

I was doing some playthroughs of City of Heroes. Now they will serve as memories of a better time ...

I keep forgetting to try this out when I'm at home in the game. I checked them out when the patch was first released, but I haven't since then. But I remember thinking, "Oh cool, all the sit ones are listed, now I don't have to remember them any more!"
